It really is quite amazing how far Ireland have fallen in the last 12 months. A year ago we were tearing the english apart in Croke Park and beating South Africa and Australia now we barely get by Italy at home and are heading for our worst 6 nations in almost a decade if we get beat tomorrow which I hate to say is the most likely outcome.

Time for Eddie O'Sullivan to go I think. He has had his moments and I believe statistically he is the most successful Ireland coach of all time. But it is clear his time is up. The team has no confidence and there don't seem to be any fresh ideas. There just seems to be an air of doom and a sense that O'Sullivan is just papering over the cracks.

should we have gotten rid of gatland in the first place, thought he was harshly treated. the team he had wasn't as good as the team now

Whatever the question of how and when O'Sullivan got the job he has I believe been the most successful Ireland coach of all time. So I will give O'Sullivan his due. But clearly the team needs a fresh start and hopefully O'Sullivan will step down now.

Theres a clause in his new contract(whici is yet to start) that in the 1st year they can cut him off with only paying the remainder of the year. I do hope this happens, even how far O'sullivan has taken us, the team has failed a lot of the time.

I agree as well as O'Sullivan has done in terms of racking up wins and enjoying some great great days such as victories over South Africa and Australia and of course the demolition of England last season it does seem every time we had the 6 nations title in our hands we would find some way to throw it away.
Bottom line is we have a good group of players who look totally bereft of belief and confidence. Thanks for some great days but time for a new coach I think.

*! Never seen anything like it. Must've been a pretty strong wind that night.

Well at least Leinster got a decent 34-18 win over Glasgow on Friday night to stay well clear at the top of the Magners league with 5 games left to play.
Munster if they win their 2 games in hand will still be in contention also. But Leinster looking strong right now.

Munster got a bonus point win last night to put a bit of pressure on Leinster. Leinster can afford to lose to Llanelli next weekend, but we have to beat Munster at the RDS next month. We finish up with a double header against the Newport Gwent Dragons - so that should be two wins. The title will be ours this season - at last. And D'Arcy and O'Driscoll are not missed by the way.

Yes at this point Munster look like the only team that can stop us winning the title. But Munster first have to win both of their games in hand to really put pressure on us. No guarantees they can do that.

Very true. If Munster are to win the title this season then they'll have to do it the hard way - they've still got to go to Dublin, Belfast and Llanelli. And we all know how hard away wins are to come by in the Magners League (except in Leinster's case).
