Some of what you said was true.the opposing team would have to complain.the only reason they wouldn't complain was if they won by more than 3 nil as that's what the score would be set at

Problem is sion are either right or wrong.
If they're right then they go through, if they're wrong then they should obviously be disqualified.
Can't see how there can really be a compromise.

If Atletico, Rennes or Udinese drop points in the Sion games which make the difference between them progressing or not they'll be at UEFA's necks over this too I'd imagine, oh well we'll find out soon enough!

excellent point, hadnt even thought of this.
everything is stacked in our favour, legally, logically, etc however i just wouldnt be suprised by any decision made by the fookwits at fifa & uefa...however after the * this club has had to endure over the last 12 months and recent acquital of the mini hun who attacked Lennon maybe just maybe we're due a bit of luck...

UEFA approved Sion's team selection. FIFA are the ones that aren't happy about it.

Since it's UEFA's competition and the approved Sion's team, I can't see us getting put through.

Not exactly. That's a spin Sion are taking on it because Uefa weren't firm right away. When Sion registered their squad Uefa warned them if they play ineligible players they face being booted out.

Sion are claiming though they're not ineligible because they were registered in the squad. Totally ignoring they shouldn't have been allowed to sign them in the first place.

I think what affects the decision today is how well publicised this case is.If it was well publicised round Europe,UEFA/FIFA would have no choice but to ban them.

Well both the president of UEFA and FIFA have came out publicly and said sion should be thrown out, so they would look like major plonkers if that didnt happen
