    I'm not picky.
Who knows what any of their agenda is. Sometimes you can never tell what UEFA or FIFA are going to do at anytime.

Mind you, look at UEFA with the huns punishment for this years version of sectarian chanting against PSV. I was actually expecting them to get just another slap on the back of the hands and a couple of thousand pound fine, if anything. Next thing is they hit Hun FC with a £40,000 fine and ban the orcs from attending their next away fixture.

We'll only find out for sure when they set the date for the appeal though but I just hate waiting for it.

Just said on Sky Sports News that we will hear in a 'few hours' whether we are let back in or not.

A little embarrassing, yes. But i can deal with that for the following reasons:

We NEED the money that comes with it
We NEED the experience in Europe which some of our best players dont have and most of all we NEED to improve the coefficient.

This will greatly benefit Celtic in the long run so i think i can deal with a bit of slagging for a few weeks

    In english (google traduction, sorry)

One obstacle, however, stands on the road to UEFA, the flexibility of its approach. It is difficult to blame the FC Sion a civil legal action when they are six players who have entered the District Court of Martigny and not the club. In addition, difficult now to deny the qualification of six players, while at first, UEFA allowed them to play.
An internal source confirmed that in case of sanction at European level against FC Sion and ultimately a victory of the club in the civil way. the amount of damages could amount to several million. An element which, according to our source, has not escaped to the UEFA subject to the swiss law

If Sion are allowed to continue surely it will be the end of the transfer windows, as it would mean EUEFA's rules can be flouted with ease!!!

    From BBC website:

Fifa president Sepp Blatter has joined the SFA and Uefa chief Michel Platini in backing Celtic's bid to have Swiss club Sion kicked out of the Europa League for fielding players signed while under a transfer embargo.

FIFA president Sepp Blatter and the SFA have joined Michel Platini in backing Celtic’s case to kick FC Sion out of the Europa League.

New SFA president Campbell Ogilvie revealed the Hampden hierarchy
have rubber-stamped Celtic’s appeal to UEFA over the Swiss club fielding
ineligible players during their 3-1 aggregate success — after they had
been warned by world rulers FIFA.

Blatter, a Swiss national and the most powerful figure in world football,
rounded on Sion and their maverick owner Christian Constantin, claiming
he cannot understand why they ‘broke the rules’.

[IMG] Backing: FIFA President Sepp Blatter has criticised Sion

Celtic have yet to be handed a date for their hearing by UEFA, which is
independent of a Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling into the same case.

UEFA counterpart Platini has also criticised the action of Sion, who took their place in last week’s group-stage draw and were paired with Atletico Madrid, Udinese and Rennes.

Those games are due to start a fortnight on Thursday, so a decision cannot be delayed too long.

‘In reality, there is no dispute between FIFA and FC Sion,’ said Blatter, with
the Swiss club accused of breaking a worldwide transfer embargo.

‘Tell me, on what grounds we should grant an exception to a club where millions of others follow the rules?

[IMG] Party: Sion celebrate as they beat Celtic to knock them out of Europe

‘I like the way Constantin makes things happen generally, but one of the fundamental principles of football is not using thecivil courts with our internal regulations.

‘FIFA judged the case and found Sion guilty.’

Ogilvie, who has vast UEFA experience after many years working for Rangers and Hearts, confirmed the SFA’s stand behind Celtic. He said: ‘We’ve backed our member club in deliberations over Sion.

‘I don’t know if there is any precedence. We will back Celtic through our registration and legal people.
[IMG] Must do better: Scott Brown

‘From what I know, I would say there is a reasonable chance that Sion will be thrown out and Celtic reinstated, although I don’t have all the detail.’

If the verdict finds in Celtic’s favour, skipper Scott Brown insists he would not be in the least bit embarrassed to lead out his side in Madrid to face Atletico on September 15.
He said: ‘Until we know anything else concrete, we are pretty much out. It should be cut and dried but it’s not down to us — it’s all about UEFA’s view.

‘It’s hard to say if we deserve to be back in the Europa League. What I can say is that if we do have another shot at it, we will do a lot better.

‘As it is, just now we deserve to be out. We didn’t do well at home, and it was very hard away playing with 10 men for 89 minutes.

‘Of course, I would feel comfortable going back into the tournament.

‘Right now we are out. But if we did get back in, then we would give it our best shot in the group stages.

‘If that happens, I’d hope we would be able to do a lot better.

Funny, all are confident, Sion and UEFA/FIFA. Dammage that you don't have the answers of Sion.

Only one thing is certain, Constantin has very big balls to not renounce. (or he's completely mad XD)

What's the hold up here? More bureaucratic posturing and no action. Sounds familiar.

    Sort it out UEFA!
