    Hail, Hail!
    I used google translate.
FC Sion should not be more advanced in law this week. A rumor reported on a meeting scheduled on Tuesday in Nyon UEFA. A session with the aim to study the various possible sanctions against the club Valais for the next Europa League, but also with the aim to rule on the appeal of Celtic. But obviously this session should not take place immediately if we are to believe the press service of UEFA for that: "There are no meetings scheduled at this time."
One obstacle, however, stands on the road to UEFA, the flexibility of its approach.
It is difficult to blame the FC Sion a civil legal action when they are six players who have entered the District Court of Martigny and not the club. In addition, difficult now to deny the qualification of six players, while at first, UEFA allowed them to play.
An internal source to the case we also confirmed that in case of sanction at European level against FC Sion and ultimately a victory of that civil, the amount of damages could amount to several million. An element which, according to our source, has not escaped the UEFA Helvetic subject to the law.

On the civilian side, Judge Nicolas Biner, in charge of the complaint of six players for infringement of privacy, had given up to Monday noon to the different parties to transmit their information in your file. A period of 20 days must now be observed to allow all sides to respond if necessary.
Within 20 days will also enable the Judge of the District Court to verify and examine each document in the file before granting provisional measures or not.

At the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), no decision will be taken until 3 to 4 weeks.

In the end, only the UEFA today seems to hold in his hands the future of European club Valais. A negative decision on his part would inevitably disastrous consequences for one of two camps, the one who loses out of this long struggle.

I do worry about quote on Uefa saying that there are no meetings.

    Who decides on what?

UEFA: Did Sion break our rules? Should they play in the Europa League or be replaced by Celtic? Decision probably not this week, but soon.

CAS: Did Sion serve their transfer ban or not? -> influence on UEFA's decision as UEFA is under the jurisdiction of the CAS. Decision not before end of september.

Swiss Civil court (I'm really not sure about this): Were FIFA/UEFA entitled to ban the players? -> influence on UEFA and CAS as they both fall under Swiss jurisdiction. Decision in 20 days.

They're going to appeal against it anyway obviously if they get kicked out and delay it for as long as possible or find loopholes i guarantee we are out of Europe 110% and rightly so we don't deserve to be even if they did field illegal players they were absolutely terrible.

We'll have to see what our board do/say about this. Either way i believe celtic plc have grounds for compensation "serveral million" if uefa back down on sion. End of the day is they cheated.

There are so many bumps in the road that I can't see an end to this saga any time soon, which I'm afraid will result in us missing out on Europe again this season. I don't know anything about the Swiss legal system but I would think that any appeal against a decision in the Swiss Civil Court would be taken to the Swiss Supreme Court. However, they already went through the Swiss Supreme Court to appeal the decision by FIFA and CAS, but they ultimately lost that appeal. I'm not sure how much weight a Civil Court verdict has when compared to a Supreme Court verdict. In my mind, if 3 out of 4 decisions go against them then ultimately they should be thrown out!

Yes, because if UEFA were to let Sion get away with it, then that would mean any club could do what they liked and stick two fingers up at UEFA. If we do get through, the first game would be Atletico Madrid away :54:

To 'not want' Celtic to be reinstated is madness.

Yes it's not the way we want to make our way in Europe but our players need the experience and the club need the cash (and yes, we have survived and performed admirably as a business without European cash for a couple of years but how better would we do with those funds)

We would also be in a position to attract better players to the club - not just because of the extra few million playing the EL would bring but mainly the stature that playing on the European stage brings.

I can understand those saying 'no' in terms of the route taken, however every Celtic supporter should want to see our club on the European stage!

You only improve by playing against better teams and players. I do fear for us if we get put back in, that group is nasty.

I have mixed feelings about this as believe we should be there on our on merits. But from a financial point of view we should accept it with both hands and get behind the team if we do get reinstated.
