    Rachaelink,

We have a rookie manager who identifies transfer targets.

He buys these targets to achieve success.

If that success fails it's because he did not have the strength to convince his seniors to issue more investment for better staff.

Or the senior staff had so little confidence in his ability that extra funding was withheld.

Or (more likely) The senior managements investment in the business is such that they see the club doing no more than win domestic competitions. In that case no major release of funds.

We all know who is to blame here and it's the * snide penny penching * on our board especially Desmond.

I don't want Lennon to leave but i also think some fans need to take him down from * status and take the green specs off the recent results are both Lennon and the teams fault but the overall downfall of the club will be the boards fault if we don't spend.

Worse case scenario we go out of Europe then we all know what is coming next and that's the board punting our best players for * all.

no he shouldn't go if we go out of europe on thu.

Last season though we should have won the league and i think events off the park galvanised the support behind him, but we should have beaten one of the weakest rangers teams ever to the title.

tactically he is very nieve and his player selections and loyalty to samaras and brown baffle me at times, i think he really needs to pull his socks up along with some of the players because effort alone wont bring us the silverware.

If we lose again this year to an unimproved gers side with a very inexperienced manager then yes he should go, practice his craft at a lower level before taking charge of a team the size of celtic.

I don't think Lennon leaving now is the solution but he has got to get a grip on things very quickly or he will inevitably end up being let go. It's very early days yet, hopefully he will see what needs to be done.

Some of our support need to calm the * down. Yes, I am dissapointed about today but you cant expect the team to go out and win every game ffs. Some of our top players are off form and injured, it happens to every club. I have no doubt that Lenny will get the bhoys going for Thursday and we will progress. Saying that he should maybe resign after a couple of bad games is * shocking. Lenny stuck with us through all the * and I am going to stick by him:shamrock:

But the thing is that a rookie manager completely changed his team last season, signed some fantastic players who we will play, and then sell on for a good profit.

He won the cup in his first season, and then got a points tally that far surpassed the previous few seasons.

He galvanised the support and has brought a fantastic feeling back to the ground. But two disappointing results with a weakened team and he should be in the firing line?

His tactics and substitutions are getting me a bit worried but we shouldn't be thinking about lenny leaving until the end of the season to see whether or not we have this title back.

Jock Stein only won the Scottish Cup in his first season,so OP would you have made a thread about big Jock having to resign because he lost one game? You've just got an agenda against Lenny me thinks.

Thank * the internet wasn't around back in Jock's day, some would have been wanting him sacked at half-time in Lisbon!

Can see us going through on Thursday tbh even if we don't sackin Lennon isn't going to help us bringing ina new manager at this stage of the season is unthinkable. If we don't win the league I'd say he has to seriously consider his position though

    * no! However, it would further underline the need for reinforcements. In fact, * it! Maybe we should be supporting Sion!

In the space of a week our great manager has become expendable.

Love Lennon but think we could get pumped 3-0/4-0 on thursday. We are cursed away from home. On the plus side ..ive already accepted it and dont have any bitterness. :D
