    If you go to Swindon to sign players then you will sign players of a Swindon Town level(no offence to Swindon), how is this going to improve us? They'll be sending scouts to the Sunday morning leagues before we know it.

    Hi Lads/ladies got to admit you are being very judgemental here but to be fair i would be exaxtly the same. So far media reports suggest just you and leicester are interested but i can assure you we will be getting bids from Newcastle(depending on league) west brom fulham and wigan and blackburn not to mention the championship clubs interested.

    I notice a few have said reading let him go when in fact they offered him a deal to stay but he stated he wanted to learn the ropes and play week in week out.

    I know its just my word but believe me this lad will score the goals in scotland in 27 years of following the town he is head and shoulders the best striker i have seen at this club and that includes the likes of Duncan shearer and Jan aage Fjortoft etc.

    If you sign him you have got a gem(ask ian wright).

    Good luck at the weekend got everything crossed for you.

    I'm amazed at the attitude of some of the posters on here.

    32 goals in a league I'd class as overall superior than the SPL and people are crying. A young hungry striker who knows where the goals are as a pose to the two carthorses we have at present and people are crying.

    Most of you have never seen the guy play or even heard of him before these reports yet you feel qualified enough to slag both the board and "lack of ambition".

    Do you all need to be reminded of where Lubo came from, or Henrik? Sutton was struggling for a game in Chelsea's reserves, blah blah. Simple fact of the matter is we need a Boyd.

    Problem is players like those seem to be like gold dust. When Celtic come calling all of these teams hike up the price and they haven't cottened on to the fact Celtic will never pay over the odds for any player.......in that respect I think the board does seem short sighted at times.

    If * was anything special the EPL clubs would be all over him by now as they are with the boy Delph from Leeds. We had all this when GS signed Virgo, how he was gonna do this and that and be a star of the future, the reality was he was a lower English league player and always had been. J. Beckford from Leeds looks a much better bet to me although i can't see Ken Bates selling him in our price range.

    That's your opinion and it's based on assumption. I'm not saying you're wrong but you could be. Boruc wasn't snapped up by any of the big clubs yet he was for a while at least being spoken about as a £10mill+ keeper.

    Bargains are their and some players do have the ability to surprise. I just think it's wrong to completely write someone off when so little is known about him. To score 32 goals is the Championship is noteworthy and to do it with a club who are struggling is definetely something to make you take notice.

    just seen one of the goals he scored this season and its enough for me to want him signed. it was unreal long ball kept it up with his first touch and volleyed it top bag. plus 29 goals is class even if it is league one, look at all the hype about beckford and * has scored more than him

    think its funny that people are keen for beckford but not * when * scored more than him this year and is younger :rolleyes:.

    Still think we should look to sign a recognised, quality striker, but i cant see the guy being much worse than the 2 plamphs we have up front just now.
