    Sold:
    £3.75 mill for simunivic
    £2 mill for johansen
    £1 mill for wanyama
    £1 mill for scepovic

    Bought:
    £500,000 for dembele
    £0 for toure
    £3/4 mill for sinclair
    £1 mill for Gamboa
    <500,000 for de veires

Would have to say brendan has done well in the transfer market getting rid of the dead wood while replacing with quality. He has brought in more money than he has spent so i hope the board back him with with a marquee signing or 2, personally I feel that we need a quality AM and DM.
Especially that we have made 30 mill at least from the IIC friendlys and champions league. We have the money we should give ourselves the best possible chance to become a force and almost garuntee champions league next year.

I honestly can't see how they can justify not spending on one marquee signing now?

Janko, Ambrose, Boyata, Mackay-Steven, Armstrong, Henderson, Commons & Cifti hopefully, too.

I wouldn't class Johansen and Simunovic as 'deadwood'.

Deadwood is Ambrose, GMS, Ciftci and the likes and they are still here.

We do not run at a loss.
We run on budget. Some financial reports will be up, six months later they will be down. All depends when the books are counted. But we tend to break even.

We budget for Europa league, we have just reach the champions league, we surely have a bit more money to actually spend more in transfers this summer than we do sell.

I fear we started off well in bringing in sinclair and toure, then saw how the huns have started, got to the champions league and now fear that the brakes have went on and the board have resorted to type.

No one is asking we sign 6 players at 5 million and spend all the extra revenue that has been created but a little bit of a push in the right direction surely.

The sinclair deal (as is toure) is a clear sign that quality can be bought if we know where to look. 27 year old epl player, played for Chelsea and man city. When the * would that ever happen? We did it. And did it in budget.

Clearly we can get quality for our level in the 3-5 million range. So I don't think its that bad for supporters to want to see a couple players brought in of that calibre. A striker in that range would be nice. And now that jozo is for the off, a * defender in that calibre as well. Doesn't need to be from england, we have world wide scouts. Lets go find someone and actually spend the money on them.

So far we have one player of quality. A project in dembele and toure who is quality but nearing the end.
Not exactly pushed the boat out.

This. We've already spent a portion of the £30m CL pot. Still, this has been a great window so far. Why spend £10m on one player when we can pick up Sinclair, Kolo, De Vries, Dembele and Gamboa for less than £5m?

Bailly, Ambrose, Boyata, Janko, Armstrong, Commons, GMS and Ciftci are probably the weakest members of the squad now.

Would take moving them all on and signing Mulgrew, a good defensive midfielder and maybe a young forward on loan like Bamford.

Where? Where have we spent that money? Keep in mind lawwell has previously stated we do not budget for the champions league. And keep in mind we have made money in regards to transfers so far.
We have spent * all of that money.

So with the sale of Jozo, we'll have brought in more money from transfers than we've spent, correct?

Plus the best part of £30 million for the CL. Not signing a midfielder would be ridiculous.

Any money we have spent so far is not from that CL prize money.

Do people not realise that BR would have been given an initial budget anyway? Take that into consideration and we have spent near enough zero.

We have a net gain, forgetting the CL money.

Now, considering who we have signed and sold, the business we have done is fantastic. However there's no excuse not to get another couple in.

And to think I thought things were about to change when Rodgers came in the door. The board should have been pushing the boat out with the amount of money we have made. Season ticket money, CL qualification, international cup, dafabet, magners, wanyama, johansen, simonovic, fisher. Stokes, CKR, Mulgree, Cole off the wage bill. Where's the investment? We will get initiated in the CL. Take take take with the board, some things never change.

This board have no proactive mindset at all.its all reactive, cost us * knows how many millions by not spending for Cl.

They've had a look at Rangers and thought job done. They have already decided on 0 points is no biggie for them in Cl.

Whilst it wouldn't really be funny, in some ways it would as if Sevco won the league after we got a stream of injuries, there'd be revolt and I think a lot more sinister than removing the Whites. Pit it this way I wouldn't fancy being Lawell in a dark night.

I've got about as much chance of pumpin' Margot Robbie on my new yacht after winning the Euro millions as that has of happening.

I don't think we should sign Cummings unless Cifcti goes. Even then we would need to make it clear to him he probably won't get much game time.
