You'd need 2 yep. And at roughly £300k per bus, plus needing to replace them every few years, I'm not too sure it'd be wise.

There was an argument that we had produced and had great teams training at Barrowfield why not spend the money on a player when we done Lennoxtown as well.

Big clubs micro manage absolutely everything their clubs do, this is the small kinda things that impresses players, small things like this add up to a big impression for the club.

how about an open top double decker in Celtic colours..

Use it to drop players home after winning trophies etc.

I'm in the couldn't give a * camp. I would rather have a winning team on the park than some bus

We should do what is most cost effective. And that is keep the arrangement with Parks!

So they have a tenuous connection with Sevco... so * what!?

I understand PL perfectly well when he suggests that if you 'buy one, you need two'. It worries me that there are folks on here struggling to grasp what he meant.

Even if there was a 'magically reliable' one-vehicle solution available, then you have to factor in the cost to buy it, the cost to run it, the cost to service it, the cost to store it, the cost to insure it, the drivers wages', and it's constant depreciation. Oh, and there would also be the endless repair costs for the windows getting panned in-by bampots! May as well just hand over the company credit card to Autoglass!

Waste of money - its a * no-brainer to use Parks. The buses we normally see players arrive in look like they have all the space and luxuries the players need to do their job properly, and we know in advance what it's going to cost us for the year - perfect... one less thing to worry about.

    * me, why not go all the way and buy a luxury jet too... just think of the envy of the other clubs when we wave that massive willie in their face.

    * contest!

They lease a bus from Central Coaches... just the same way that we do with Parks. The logo is just a decal / sticker! It's stuck on the bus on match days... and peeled off when the bus goes back to the depot.

Personally, I think it's better that a team travels as much under the radar as possible.

I genuinely don't see the point in this at all and if its true we don't pay to hire the thing its even more of a no brainer.
The argument that big clubs have their own bus I find kinda pointless tbh because I am pretty sure Scotty Sinclair or Paddy Roberts etc didn't ask if we owned the team bus or not when making a decision to sign for us :giggle1:
It seems to be a * waving exercise more than anything else.

If it helps the players prepare and recover better with state of the art equipment on board thus making us more professional then it is an absolute no brainier..

Sending our own bus ahead when we play CL matches in parts of the continent that are easily accessible and the team flying out afterwards must be beneficial. The extra amount of kit, medical supplies and specialist food to have at the players disposal surely could enhance performance. Small margins can make all the difference at the highest level. And it's at the highest level we are trying to compete at.

People talking about the cost of running it, employing a driver etc ffs get a grip.. we can afford it. As I said a sponsor like NB would pay to have its logo in the side.

It's not a * waving exercise or a case of us trying to appear elitist, it's something quite small that could help maximise our potential.

Maybe it's something that we'll revisit.

Probably more important is the all weather training dome, any news on that?.

Send the bus ahead for Euro trips... we can afford it... NB paying to have it's logo on the side... !!!

Jesus Christ, I wish I lived on the same planet as you as it sounds * spectacular!

Have you seen the coach that Parks provide - it's not like the *-mobiles we used to run back and forth to school in. it's a luxury coach... and the insides look very similar to the insides of the buses run by the Real Madrids, Man U's, etc. of this world! In fact, you could almost say they're pretty much identical. Because, well, they are!

We have staff who arrange logistics for trips abroad - rest assured that they book similarly spec'd coaches to the one's we use at home to collect the team after the plane touches down. These people also seem to know what the team needs - well, it is their job after all - and they make sure that everything the team needs reaches the playing destination. Can't remember the last time that played in their punders because the admin bams forgot to send kit out with them!

Small margins... maximise our potential... it's the highest level we are trying to compete with...

    :87:

Aye, lets just * all that cash they carpet the boardroom floor with and use to wipe their executive arses with on a non-essentiall depreciating *-extension!

    Lol...

Have you been in Real Madrid's or Bayern's coach?

PSG and Bayern both sent coaches ahead??

Why is it so unrealistic that a sponsor would be interested in paying for it?

Edit: Just to add you are a fuckstick!

We could kit out a coach with better post match equipment than we'd receive at most away grounds...
