Keano definitly wont get a game at spurs, might come on as a sub but wont be a starter so I think we should break the bank and sign him up for a few years, he seems to be loving life at Celtic and if we had signed him up at the start of the season... * knows how many goals he would a scored...! "Maybe won us the league..??"

He's already said he wants to go back to spurs.

Never going to happen. Would cost too much and if he is no longer wanted at Spurs, any Premiership club could out bid us even the new teams moving up.

Celtic is bigger than any one player - even one as skilled as Keane. -

If it interferes with the funds we need to strengthen other areas of the team then it's a no for me
-
I'd certainly want to have the discussion. The player can't come out and say he wants to stay, in public, he is still contracted to Spurs. He would cost plenty but on the evidence that we have seen so far he would be sensational on a long term basis.
If a deal can be done go for it. Celtic can only benefit by winning games and by helping other squad members see what it means to be a real player.
Who else can we bring in who can almost certainly guarantee success. There are not many of his calibre who would even consider coming to the SPL. -

Absolutely, Definetely, Yes!
We really need to learn how to run our club financially into the ground, like our friends in Govan.
Aye, I'd love to have a bank manager sitting on the board & not be able to offer our best players contracts - all because we've spunked too much money on a 30 year old.
Sounds like a great idea, where do I sign? -

I don't think it is about the money with Keane, he wants to play in a better standard than the SPL. So when he does leave (and he will) all we can say is thanks for the entertainment Robbie and good luck for the future.
-
No, we can't afford to break the bank for any player too many areas of the team needs improving to splash all our limited cash on one player, no matter how good he is.
-
Id rather get another CB a DMC and an AMC with the money we would need to pay to keep Keano.
Class act but for me a luxury, what we need is a backbone. -
Celtic pride themselves in being one of best clubs around that dont have a debt thats a worry to them ,it took a few hard years for these people to get to where they are today ,and i doubt if they want to go back down that road again ,Keane is a fantastic player ,but he is on a vast wage and it been said its 65Grand a week before you even put a bid in of what i think would be anything from 8 to 10 million pounds for his services ,a contract say for 3 years for Keane on that wage alone would cost Celtic around the 10million mark ,Celtic are not in that league to afford a player like that ,20million pounds over 3 years is probaly Celtic's transfer budget blowing ,not worth it .
-
We can't afford him. It really is that simple. No player is worth risking the future of the club over.
-
can we worry about getting a manager in before making demands over how he spends his transfer budget?
