It's not just about shooting, he has to develop movement, body strength, heading, dribbling and understanding of the game. A goal like that shows only that he has the potential to become a player.

Yeh, What he HAS is huge potential. What he NEEDS is first team action with the league wrapped up and in the pre-season.

Looks to be a brilliant player and still only 19 or 20.

A lot of Celtic reserves are talked up but he is a definate talent. Personally I dont rate this years reserves (decent players but no stand-outs) and think the under 19s are a better crop. A lot of good players came thorough the reserves in the last five years-Marshall, Wallace, Kennedy, O'Dea, Mick, Liam Miller, Shaun, Aidan, Beattie, Smith, Cuthbert etc but they were obviously players who would push for a place. I dont see many who look that outstanding this year. Sheridan is the only one that is obvious. Grant and Gardyne were great last year but they have been injured and on loan.

Agree re: those players-and you can add guys like O'Brien too who seems to be talented. I am just being a bit down about the guys who played regularly for the reserves this season. A lot of the best youngsters have been injured or on loan so our youth policy is better than this years reserve regulars suggest.

If you think that doing well in reserves merits a 1st team place for Celtic then why are Bjarnsson n Finagbson ( cant spell his name) etc not in the team?

Would it not be better to loan them out then see how they progress??

yeah true but i think bjarnason can play first team... i saw him play for iceland under 19 in summer and he single handedly destroyed sweden... he was captain too.
