  1. Id have to say this would be the best signing of the window imo, really happy we got the big bald swede and with given to i wouldnt be watching games through my fingers when we lose the ball.

  2. true dat jacen

  3. Agreed. With Izaguirre on the left and Given in goals I think we will finally be looking at having a solid backline for the first time in a long time.

Now I wont be worried everytime the opposition drive down the right or when they get a freekick within 40 YARDS !!

Credit to lennon for the players he is bringing in/trying to bring in.

Has to be one of the best windows so far in terms of excitement and names we have been mentioned with. If only we could clinch Bellers and Given and top it off!! :icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen::icon_mrgreen:

  4. Yes bellamy and given and i think we would all be well chuffed.:50:

  5. fixed:50:

  6. Thats what i meant.:50:

  7. Dont see him moving from city , city would have to get a keeper in first for back up , given might just have to lump it and sit his * on a bench city hold all the cards here . he is there player and under contract ,

  8. What a waste, given just sitting on the bench not getting first team football.

Its the last thing he needs, and wants.

  9. Given definately wont go to Arsenal, it would be pure madness for city to hand him over, although they do need someone and need someone bad.

Lets hope he comes back to his roots :celt_2:

  10. They have 4 keepers in their squad hart, given, Stuart taylor and a columbian guy. So they have back up

  11. That's not good enough cover :56:trust me given will be going no where unless city buy a keeper for back up ,There going for the title and champs league .

    And so are we.

  12. They cant force him to stay.

  13. If he really wanted to come here,im sure he would.

  14. Aye they can they pay his wages he is under contract they can do what they like with him could make him train with the kids etc if they wanted after all he is there player , What Given wants does not matter ,

  15. Unless he buys out his contract ?. or they're ways of getting out.
However it would never get to that situatuion.

  16. The man who runs football, Sepp Blatters words. Makes players like slaves I'm sure he says

  17. he,ll be here friday

  18. And what makes you say that?

  19. Aye, in theory - but whatever Sepp B says, you know as well as I do that it's not the case in practice.

Because you are the employee of a company doesn't mean you're nothing more than a slave to their whims. And quite apart from the contract law situation, what club wants to wind a player up to the extent that he loathes them and wants them to fail? Especially a * goalie - that's a shot in yr foot if ever.

Nowadays, getting players to toe the line is like western democracy - you have to brainwash them into thinking they want to do the same thing you want them to do. If you can't succeed in that, sooner or later the player does his own thing...
