    Thats nice in theory. You end up with egg on your face though, no deal can be reached and you don't have the team you want in place.

    Waiting till the last minute is in no way a good idea. It just so happens that it may be the only way we can sign these players. It's not actually beneficial.

    SHAY GIVEN has been getting the hard sell by Celtic coach Alan Thompson to quit Manchester City and solve the Parkhead keeper crisis.
    Given told Express Sport last month that Celtic remains his dream club – and his wages would not be a stumbling block should the Hoops come calling this summer.

    Celtic gaffer Neil Lennon is determined to try to lure Given north – especially with the chances of landing Hull City target Fraser Forster from Newcastle United fading by the day.

    Given is currently in Ireland sitting his coaching badges – and has confessed that the talk all week has been about the Hoops.

    Given said: “Alan Thompson is on the same coaching course as me and he’s giving me some earache, but it’s too early to say.

    Man City
    Champions league
    rediculous amount of money
    Premier league
    rediculous amount of money
    positive progress over the years due to money.
    Wages can offer players over 200 grand a week.
    Big newish stadium
    rediculous amount of money

    Celtic
    Can over players 30 grand a week
    Europa league
    Best fans in the world.
    Big stadium.
    Spl
    Decline over the past 3 year but on the incline now.

    No matter how you look at it were a life boat in that situation.

    FFS guys at the end of the day he's still a City player! He has to say those things! He doesn't know for certain if Celtic will agree a fee with Man City or if Celtic will go for another cheaper option. For all he knows he will be at Man City next season, he doesn't want to alienate himself from his fans.
