Is it just me or is this kinda like taking one step backwards in order to make two steps forward. I voted no as I hated the way he left but at Villa I was always hoping he'd get a chance. Now he's back I will support him as he was good, I just hope he sets about early on proving himself a second time.

We played better football with him in the side but it is a step backwards since we are resigning someone who left previously in bad circumstances, but if it improves the football its two steps forward really. So I will be happy if he does the business.

With Maloney on the right and Mcgeady on the left we will start hammering teams again, Mcgeady is always the outlet at the moment but now if Maloney is back we can rip teams apart down either flank.
    Great signing in my opinion!:50:

Naka is typically Japanese in that he often requires somebody else to give him that confidence and not shy away from the spotlight. The good news is that he is also very responsive to others who offer that sort of energy. Take Lennon for example, prior to the first derby in the run-in, Neil grabs him by the collar and tells him he's going to do something special... what happens? 2 brilliant shots for a goal and a forced red card.

Unfortunately he lacks pace and will never be physical, to understand the latter you'd have to know the history of Junichi Inamoto in the EPL. Suffice to say, right now it's considered a career breaker for average Japanese to try and build their body strength to that level; it's preferred to learn ways to use technical strengths to overcome that deficiency.

For an away game, consider ManU. We lost in the end, but he sure gave 'em a fright after that shot.

Anyway, he does have flaws -- but what he offers I think makes up for it most of the time. I think we'll all benefit from having Maloney around too. Competition for positions is always a good thing imo.
I'd also be ecstatic if there was a way to fit what I think are our 3 best outfield players on the pitch at the same time.

I am happy he is coming back, He is a cracking wee player and im sure he wont do a Barry "im way to good for the SPL" Ferguson and will take a big spoonful of humble pie before getting down to the business of pushing McGeady for Player of the year....
