For some of the nice football we played in Europe under the snake oil salesman, we were absolutely *.

I said it repeatedly during his time here, Rodgers was tactically inept in Europe..
His refusal to change our attacking style and be pragmatic, even against Barca, PSG etc, resulted in the numerous pumpings we received during his time at the club..

I think Johnstone has done enough to prove that he is ready to play. It would make no sense to loan Johnstone and keep Arzani in the squad.
He has scored and/or looked positive in most of the games (bar Ibrox) he has played and looks as if he is a really talented dribbler of the ball.

If you watched the last two games we played at Ibrox, you will realise that we need more steel in the middle of the park. Without Brown, who does the defensive role for us? He is coming to tje end, it makes every ounce of sense.

We have dominated them in the middle for years. They suffocated us and ran over the top of us this season.

Of the two, Cifuentes has more ability, Quintero more a brick shithouse type. I hope if we go for him it doesn't end our interest in Cifuentes, but I'd be * delighted with both. It would make sense for helping them settle as well.

I've really got my heart set on a quicker, more skilful midfield this season. We need creativity, either in the form of a box to box type or a number 10. Hopefully Sawyers is that guy. Things are looking up.

McGregor can play the defensive role, he uses his footballing brain to play the deep laying playmaker perfectly as well as covering across and breaking up play with his speed and energy. He’s more than good enough for domestic football in there, it’s in Europe we really need a Quintero type of defensive mid.

Signing quintero and cifuentes could prove to be shrewd business indeed. Both still so young. Come in and help seal the 10 iar and get a big money move somewhere else if thats what they want and it suits our model/strategy

Again, it has been shown that we need more in there domestically against Rangers now.
Personally i dont want who is probably the best ball player in our squad being restricted in a defensive role. If we have a player alongside him who does that, it gives Mcgregor the freedom to get forward and score like he has done so often for us.

The Wanyama type who can win the ball in the air or the ground and move the ball on to Mcgregor is the perfect foil for him.

Personally I think we need a brick shithouse destroyer in there and have been missing one for years.

    It's crucial for europe.

Agreed, think a few times we lost the battle in the middle of the park last season and we struggled in those games.

Hate the bit where he says it would be difficult adapting to Scotland.

dont think any of them will leave except Ntcham.

To be fair, we have played nobody of importance in any preseason games. I think he can definitely play more games, especially at home against weaker sides in the SPL, but I think in the big games, he's still very raw and gets run over.

Unless players leave, which I don't think many will, we won't sign 3 midfielders in this window. It seems as if this deal has been resurrected because we didn't get Cifuentes.

Technically, Ecuador also has a lot of high mountains. It can get cold there.

For a 20 year old coming from playing in the Ecuadorian 2nd division it definitely would be.

I feel as if you insinuated as if Brown alone is enough.
Im making the point that at times we have looked lightweight.

I was more responding to the poster insinuating that Broony was some sort of shitebag

Definitely need another ball winner in the middle of the park, for Europe especially.
