In the last few months I have had 3 of my mates - Zombie Rangers fans - refusing to following Sevco. The main reason for them not supporting Sevco is down to the fact that, in their words - 'Rangers are just so corrupt'.
2 of them have subsequently came along to games at Parkhead with me, getting fully involved in the singing and even commenting that they enjoyed that atmosphere as there was no vile bigotry or poisonous atmosphere - apparently a common feature of games at Ibrox (who'd have thought it...?!:rolleyes:)
One of them even admitted he has fallen out with his dad over the hardcore orange bigotry that has surfaced since the admin / liquidation process...
Whilst they aren't full on Celtic fans, they have admitted they want to see Celtic succeed as a big eff you to all the years of Rangers corruption.
Does anyone think this is common - they either become bitter or better...?
Anyway, I was wondering how others felt about this kind of scenario, and if anyone has experienced likewise?

I dont know how you can change your team. Corrupt or not if i was a hun i'd still be supporting them lol. -

In saying that, they havent changed team, their team died and they will freely admit that - as one of them put it;
Sevco is just a business man exploiting a ready made market. Rangers was started as a football club to represent a specific community within Glasgow - they died. Sevco is purely cashing in on the name and does not have the emotional tie nor history that Rangers had.
To hear one of them say that was pretty satisfying :icon_mrgreen: -
are you a derren brown esq character taking the * out of your hypnotised hun mates??
-
With Sevco being down in the lower leagues for at least three years, and Celtic more than likely going to win the next three leagues on the trot, and being in the Champions League for the next three years, provided we keep qualifying, Glasgow being Glasgow, I wouldn't be suprised to see some Rangers fans becoming Celtic fans, its the nature of things here. -

I can't see why it's so unbelievable. Anybody that experiences a night at Paradise in the Celtic end will fall in love, regardless of who they supported... haha
-
I wish...for the most part the rest of them have pulled the 'same club, same history' pish.
Thats why I opened the thread, just wondering if anyone else had a like wise experience... -

Not buying this man. It would be funny if they had walked away from Rangers but don't be encouraging them to come here. Not welcome. Once you have nailed your colours to the mast that's that.
