Sometimes get searched when bringing a bag in, tends to be 50/50. Have never seen other fans trying to scam off barcodes, that part seems a bit unbelievable.

Usually see bags being searched, handbags and backpacks.

For folk in the game being an unreasonable nuisance, I would expect the stewards to take action. At the same time, especially in cases where folk are clearly disruptive for disruption's sake, I'd like to think folk won't be so precious about it and tell them where to go.

How the * do you get your barcode scammed off you?

Who in their right mind takes out the season card and hands it over to a complete stranger? And at what point did they not get the card back? Or did they actually let someone take a picture of the card? While at it, did they also tell the big bad man his mothers maiden name, first school, first pet and street name?
Was it a Nigerian man by any chance? Could have been efe wanting to see football for once this year, or a Nigerian Prince?

As for 12 of you with backpacks, what are you, some sort of backpack posse? No chance 12 lads walked in at the same time like that.

For someone in your seat, it happens every game to be fair, but most times its a simple mistake and they move on. But like others, if it has been a couple who have been acting out of order, I am very surprised no one else around the area told them to sling their hook.
Ive also seen many times when folk have refused to move away/present their ticket, simply going to the steward who is 15 yards a way sorts the problem straight out. Surprised you didnt think to do that (or anyone else in the area).

TBH I believe that CP would be one of the safest football stadia in Europe. And it has nothing to do with the stewarding, more for the political leanings of sections of the support.

Same for me... Gone in forgetting I had a plastic bottle in pocket and been 'spoken to' by a pathetic wee nyaff (as my mum would say) about it being a missile... In the middle of the main stand next to directors box... Who am I going to throw it at? Rod Stewart?

Seen stewards 'removing' guys who were too steaming to sit in their seat, assuming it even was their seat!

Danny Baker did a thing in his radio show about "things you've taken into a football match"... There was a mix of all sorts of stuff including pet rats ( my mate took his to a match in 1990) , a breast pump, a half-set if golf clubs etc... But the best was a trainee chef who'd been to a class during the day and managed to get into a Milwall  game with his case full of knives and cleavers!

Jaysus, some of you are really offended for some reason.

To answer some queries, flight landed at 10;30, game kicked off at 12. we all had backpacks because we went straight to CP instead of going to the hotel. Called ahead to make sure backpacks were ok, we were told it was fine but they would be searched.

As to barcodes, if tickets are bought online they are merely printed off on a piece of paper. * were walking up to us, (especially the younger ones in our group) and offerring to help "scan it in." No stewards inside the turnstyle.

Also it was a great game, was really really impressed with the GB, relentless noise.

As for why did it take 3 weeks to bring it up? As stated, great time, great experience, only in hindsight do these issues seem relevant. To me anyway.

Son of Joseph the carpenter from Galilee. Don't know if he was ever lifted over the turnstiles.

I had to get a paper ticket for a game this season (euro qualifier) can't remember why I didn't have my season ticket. The paper ticket wouldn't scan so my mate just scanned his season ticket and we not squeezed through no problem at all nothing said either. Also do people know you can use your season ticket at any turnstile.
