They will likely sell for silly money but as we have left it until the last day of the window we are going to get our pants pulled down on transfer fees. If we pushed aggressively for this guy 2 weeks ago we would probably have got him for £3-4m. Since then they have sold their striker Erabi to Milwall and another player to Saudi. Their window is now closed so they can't get a replacement so unless we are offering something they consider too good to turn down, they won't accept.

That's how clubs should operate, it's what we should have done with Kuhn.

Genuine answers. I want the logic of the board because I just don't see any reason why you'd do it.

 

They are absolutely going to pull the clubs pants down with this, we’ve left it last minute and we are going to over pay like we did with Engles and Idah.

 

The guy who does the transfers for us has ADHD and only gets brief moments where he's interested in spending the time to get business done, most days he thinks "I really should be trying to get these guys signed but I can't be arsed phoning all these agents and clubs, i'll do it tomorrow/the next day/next week" before it gets down to days and hours to go then he has no option but to do it all because he's ran out of time.
