No from me. Does ok for Ireland but he's pretty poor at club level. We need a monstrous cb, no an average player. Got enough of those.

Was a good player but has moved towards the O'Dea standard, which is clearly not good enough. Linked with him more often than Keane, Bellamy, etc, etc.

We already have Rogne, Mulgrew, Wanyama and Maj who (when playing on top form) are all better!

    A big 'no' from me!

I think that bringing O'Dea back would actually be a better idea, and no, that's not the answer either.

He plays great every time I see him for Ireland but thats only when I ever see him and Ireland are quite a defensive team so hes not troubled much.

Yes I know mate. If he was playing in France or somewhere we'd get him for £2m. He is very good. Anybody who watches Ireland on a regular basis knows that.

If Leicester want rid of him, I'd pick him up on the cheap. In other words for less than 2 million, he wouldn't be worth paying more than that.

He has performed well for Ireland in games with our backs against the wall. I don't see any rumoured price tag with the story.

St Ledger is a very average defender. we should be looking at above average.

bringing back O'Dea would be a better option than taking St Ledger on board. guess what? i don't want O'Dea back. i don't want St Ledger and going by everyone else on this thread, neither do they.

Please * no we already have better CB's at the club. Would be shown up for Ireland if he didn't have Dunne beside him.

I'd rather O'Dea back to be honest.

Some of you guys are being ridiculous. If you haven't seen him play hardly, don't comment about him being *. He has been solid for Ireland and hasn't put a foot wrong, that's plain to see. He had a falling out with his manager, it's not like he couldn't get a game for Leicester. I wouldn't overpay for him, but he would be a nice cheap addition to our defense if we was willing.

Should we be going for someone better or a bigger name? Probably. This guy will play his heart out though and that's more you can say than a lot of players out there.
