    Preston boss Darren Ferguson has revealed Celtic have enquired about defender Sean St Ledger.



    St Ledger[​IMG]is back at Deepdale after Middlesbrough pulled out of a deal to sign the defender after a loan spell at the Riverside.


    Celtic have already had one bid rejected for the Republic of Ireland international and Ferguson[​IMG] has warned the Scottish giants they have "no chance" of landing the former Peterborough man at the moment.


    "They have enquired but are a million miles away from getting Sean," said Ferguson. "The value was set when he went to Middlesbrough.


    "I have had a couple of conversations with Sean and he is perfectly happy here. I definitely want to keep him. He is one of the best defenders in the league.


    "I have no doubt he can play at a higher level but there is a valuation.


    "If someone meets it I might have a different conversation with Sean. Celtic have no chance with what they are offering."

    We're wasting our time looking at England, Kilgallon went to Sunderland for under £2millions.

    He has absolutely no ambition of playing in the Champions League, or for a big club - his most important stage of his career will be spent in the Championship.

    Bring on the Scandanavians & East Europeans - I'd relocate any scouts we have in England.

    he is an ok player thats it i dont think that he much better than wat we have got we need a leader in there some1 wit experience, like a only an example (sammy hypia or sol campell) st ledger young, o'dea young loovens is young thompson is young caddis young, fox young, last thing we need is another inexperienced defenders! only my opinion

    Sunday Mail has us back in today with an initial £2.25 Million bid with up to £1 Million in add on's , think we will get our man .. Don't know where this leaves the Ramis deal though as he will not want to sit on the bench , neither will Hooiveld or St.Ledger though .. Think it's St.Ledger or Ramis.
