Preston are holding out for far too much.

i can see Celtic chancing there luck with a cheaky bid on the last day of the window.

i really rate this guy highly!!!:celt_2:

I think we can call their bluff on this. There are surely other options, especially in the £2-4m bracket so perhaps we could take this deal to the last day and thrash out a bargain :icon_mrgreen:

    Then again pigs might fly.

Sky Sports transfer centre had this on there today..

"13.30 We've had a couple of emails in suggesting Sean St Ledger is in Sunderland awaiting a medical. Anyone like to shed a little light on the situation?"

    Hope not :(

Forget it. No way we'll sign a player at 4.5million. Personally, i've not saw much of st Ledger, Saw him for Republic Of Ireland but thats about it, looked decent if im honest. PNE are well with in their rights to hold out for as much as they can but I do honestly think that we are wasting our time now, time to look at another defender from somewhere else. Im sure it was "hairytoes" on here that made a good point that players in "lesser" leagues that have the same ability are around and thats theres no point to getting held to randsom by a struggling championship team. The likes of a young Nemanja Vidić and Brede Hangeland are around....we just need to find them!

Seems to me it's the same action we are giving Birmingham: if you want the player, you gotta overpay. He's too important to their team, is my guess and they'll only be more obstinate as the end of the transfer window approaches.

Now Sunderland have signed Kilgallon, hopefully the rumours he is heading there will finish. Why don't we offer cash plus McManus, kill two birds with one stone.

Overall i thought h had a good game ..Yes he was probably at fault for their opener , but i think if he had given up and failed to try and block the ball he would have been slated..
He was in the shop window today , the chairman Derek Shaw would have turned any offer down this last week purely because of todays game ..I think if no one comes in with a huge bid i would like to think we can go back in with something similar and get him :50:.....Amone else think he looks like Michael McIntyre ?? LOL :icon_mrgreen:
