Michael Higdon ffs that was a shambles the year he won it.

Can't believe Larsson only won it twice!!! How is that even possible.

What I like the most about Sinclair is his attitude. He's worked hard and quietly since day 1 and the results are here. Wouldn't have been a surprise if he came up and thought he could walk the league with zero effort (Barton prime suspect in that type of attitude), but no, he's the total opposite, which is what makes him so likeable apart from what he produces on the pitch.

Well chuffed for him and a thorougly deserved award. Loved the guy ever since that first day at Tynecastle, could just tell we were on to something good with him.

Scotty Sinclair, he really is so wonderful. :49:

SS: It’s a great honour, especially as it’s voted for by your fellow professionals who you play against every week. It’s a great feeling.

SS: The main thing for me was to enjoy football again. I’m playing for a manager who believes in me & I couldn’t ask for much more.

SS: I want to keep improving. The season isn’t over, we’ll reflect on our achievements at the end of the campaign & look to build on that.

SS: I've gone through hard times in my career. I stayed behind at training & went the extra mile. Looking back now, it's all been worth it.

SS: If I could give advice to young players, it’s to never give up. People are always going to pull you down and say you’re not good enough.

SS: I never gave up. I kept going and now I’m getting my rewards.

SS: on rest of season: If we do the treble it would be fantastic, but we'll just keep taking it one game at a time.

SS: We need to stay calm and go into every game as if it’s our last, and that’s what we’ll do on Friday night against Aberdeen.

Some people exaggerate or make out they are on cloud nine at a stage in their career or at a particular club but he genuinely is riding the crest of a wave..

It's as if he can't believe how good he has it here or how much we've taken to him..

Wonderful signing and a class guy..

SCOTT Sinclair says he’s reaping the rewards of perseverance after being named PFA Scotland Player of the Year.

The 28-year-old collected his award last night in Glasgow as Celtic made a clean sweep of all the end-of-season honours.

Brendan Rodgers won Manager of the Year, Kieran Tierney made it two-in-a-row as Young Player of the Year and Moussa Dembele took the gong for Goal of the Season.

Sinclair had already netted Celtic’s Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year accolades after a stellar first season with the club in which he has scored 25 goals in all competitions.

It’s all in complete contrast to 12 months ago when he had just been relegated with Aston Villa to the English Championship and wasn’t featuring regularly.

But since moving to the Scottish champions in August and teaming up again with Brendan Rodgers, who managed him at Swansea and as a young player at Chelsea, Sinclair has rediscovered his confidence and his top form.

And he believes his story of success is an example for any player to never lose faith and to keep working hard.

“It’s a great honour, especially as it’s voted for by your fellow professionals who you play against every week,” said the Celtic wide-man. “It’s a great feeling.

“The main thing for me was to enjoy football again and get the happiness back into my life. I’m playing for a manager who believes in me and I couldn’t ask for much more.

“To get the Player of the Year award is a special feeling, especially when you’ve gone through hard times, like not playing and getting relegated. I was the one staying behind at training and going that extra mile. Looking back now, it’s all worth it.

“If I could give any advice to young players out there, it’s to never give up. People are always going to pull you down and say you’re not good enough. I kept going and now I’m getting my rewards.

“I could have stayed in England and enjoyed my life, had it all nice and cosy but I didn’t want that - I wanted much more. I am the player I am today because of what I’ve gone through, but all I’ve ever wanted to do is play football and that doesn’t change with age.”

Despite his tremendous consistency and his plethora of individual awards, Sinclair reckons he still has room for improvement.

His most pressing priority, however, is helping treble-chasing Celtic maintain their dominant form until the final ball is kicked this season, starting with Friday night’s away fixture against league runners-up Aberdeen.

“I want to keep improving,” added the Englishman. “The season isn’t over yet, maybe we can finish off with the treble but we’ll reflect on our achievements at the end of the season and look to build on that.

“I didn’t set many targets this season. I just wanted to get my football back on track. I’ll look for ways to improve when the season is over.

“If we do the treble it would be fantastic, but up until now we’ve taken it one game at a time and we will keep doing that. We need to stay calm and go into every game as if it’s our last, and that’s what we’ll do on Friday night against Aberdeen.”

So glad he's here for next season. Already told us he's going no where... He's fallen in love with the club. Well, he is only human.

Every interview of pretty much every player and manager ever you could say. They never give anything away, are always happy if things are going well, disappointed if not, always want to stay and sign new contracts, always love and praise the fans etc
