I know it sounds kind of cliche but Sinclair really is one of those players who just by being on the park makes us a far better team.

His movement is frightening. Teams in Scotland really don't know how to handle him.

Magnificent save denied him what would've been a great goal.

Played better in the second half, and what a save to deny him.

Really impressed with him. Never saw much of him before but for me he is our stand out player so far this season, and he has a great attitude. 10/10, keep up the good work Sinky!

Reading the comments from Aberdeen fans and even they know they witnessed a player on another level.

A class act. So rare to find such a goal threat in a winger, especially at the price we got him for...

Never imagined him to have such a great attitude, always thought that he's one of the many overpaid English prima donnas. Best signing so far, one of the best, if not the best player at the club.

Won't find many Celtic fans saying he's not worth 4 mill now. Sinclair is a prime example of the fact that while England generally over-rate their players, a large number of Celtic fans dreadfully under-rate players based in England.

Then again England massively under rate every player we've had. As we said VVD is easily the best defender in England and they all laughed. Now he is and destined for a 30m+ move in the summer.

    Same with wanyama.

Good thing about this is not only do we get 1 big payment, we get another cut from the next big sale.

SS: "We need to start quickly. Previously at home we didn’t have a good start."

SS: "Main thing is to get on the front foot, get the ball, keep possession and be aggressive."

SS on if game is must-win: "100 per cent. We need to win. For us out go further and make sure we progress we have to win."

SS: "As we’ve done in the league, we need to take that form into the @ChampionsLeague"

    SS: "It’s a massive game

SS: "We know what @borussia are about. They get the ball down and pass it and they’re a good side."

SS: "But if we have a good start we can match that. It all comes down to us and how we start the game."

CELTIC must beat Borussia Monchengladbach tomorrow night if they are to have a chance of European football after Christmas, according to Scott Sinclair.

After dropping to bottom place in UEFA Champions League group C following their 2-0 loss to the Bundesliga side at Paradise earlier this month, Celtic have travelled to Germany for their rematch with Andre Schubert's side and Sinclair believes it's a 'must-win' for the Bhoys.

“We need to win," he said. "For us to go further and make sure we progress in this competition, we have to win.

“We need to start quickly. Previously when we played them at home we didn’t have a very good start, so the main thing is to get on the front foot, have a good start and make sure we get the ball, keep possession and be aggressive in our counter-press and build from there.

“As we’ve done in the league, we need to take that form and winning mentality into the Champions League. If we can do that it will help us progress but it’s a massive game and a game we have to win.”

Borussia Monchengladbach became the first team in five European games to win at Celtic Park when they left Glasgow with three points two weeks ago, a result that saw them leapfrog the Hoops into third place.

After the game in Germany, Celtic have just two games left - Barcelona at home and Manchester City away - to secure either safe passage to the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League or a spot in the last 32 of the UEFA Europa League, but Sinclair is confident the Bhoys can achieve their goal of post-Christmas European football.

He believes the team is learning with every game and added that every player in the squad wants to continue to test themselves at the highest level.

“I would say we don’t have anything to lose,” he said. “Everyone is expecting us not to win the game so we are the underdogs and we will just play our normal game.

“The main thing is for us to concentrate on ourselves and not look too much at their team and look at what we do, and if we go out with our game-plan and get on the front foot, create chances and put them away – we have to concentrate on ourselves.

“We know what they’re about. They get the ball down and pass it and they’re a great side, but if we can go there and set off with a good start, hopefully we’ll match that and make sure we do win.

“When we play in these games we're learning every time we play. We look back at all the videos and for us to push forward we need to keep going.

“For the fans and everyone involved in Celtic we want to stay in Europe. We are not just here to make up the numbers, we want to progress in the Champions League and if we don’t, the worst case is we want to be in the Europa League.

“At the moment we're trying to stay in the competition and progress in the Champions League and if we get a result tomorrow then we have two games and hopefully we can progress.”

Could be our most important player on the night. Has the pace, guile and finishing to make the difference on the break.
