Anticipation and awareness of a top quality forward player. Has taken us up a visible level in that department.

I was glad he got that goal at the end. He's missed a few good chances lately and signs of frustration were definitely beginning to show. That'll settle him down again.

Look at the passion in that celebration. If he was with Villa he'd put his arm up and jog back into position. He scores a goal to make it 3-0 then celebrates like he's in the stands with the fans. Probably gets his hole every time he scores. :giggle1:

As Markybhoy said, I think it was definitely to do with the missed chance and personal, rather than us being 3 up..

    Still though, excellent to see..

I * love it when English players sign for us and do well and really take to the club. We don't get fair representation in their media down there (Not that I give that much of a *) but it is sweet. Scott Sinclair is a good player, he'd do well for Everton or Spurs if they utilised him in the right way. Their loss.

    He's one of our own
Scott Sinclair he's one of our own!!!!!!!

I think he's taking to the club so much because he hasn't really been adored anywhere since Swansea. He's learned the importance of building a relationship with the fans and club since that.

Just having a wee look at his Wikipedia, says he attended Ralph Allen School. Clicked on it and the school colours are green white and gold (most likely yellow :fear:). Scott Sinclair born to play for Celtic :giggle1::ireland:

A great player to have domestically, jury is well and truly out on the European stage.

For me I'd prefer Samaras (In his prime with us) on the left atm over Sinclair. Sure Samaras may not have been as fast or as skillful (Although Sammy did still have those attributes tbf) but there was just something about those awkward runs he had down the left hand side where he would make something happen at the end of it and cause mayhem against tough opponents. Scored against some big sides in Europe and really turned it on in the big matches and was always a big threat from set pieces.

Sinclair is definitely the best LW we've had since Sammy, but for me Sammy still comes out on top atm but it's early days in his Celtic career so we'll see what happens over the coming campaigns.

Sinclair is a better winger than Samaras. He's scored what 8 goals in 9 domestic matches? Samaras' highest tally was 15 in 31 matches, after that it was 10 in 32. Sinclair, if he keeps up a similar rate of scoring than he's done so far will smash 15 goals.

Samaras was effective in Europe because of his height and pace. He was good for a header.

Who would you rather have down your left hand side against teams in Europe?

It's too early to tell. Sinclair played well against Hapoel at home and against City. Also did well with the limited time he had on the ball against Barca. He was poor against BMG, but most players were the same.

In Samaras' first 25 European matches he only scored 4 goals. Give Sinclair a chance.

Missed what looked like was an easy one for him, but his head never went down, and then he popped up again with another good goal. He knows playing the percentage game, that he will score more than he misses. Hard to see how any Scottish team will be able to contain him and Dembele.

It's quite a mix as you say, and the defense looks solid, and I know you like Biton, I don't, and I feel if Armstrong comes in regularly in midfield, then the midfield is sorted too.Henderson and Christie pushing hard for places there too.

Sorry but a couple decent performances against Sevco and Ross County won't cut it or convince me.

My faith in him having another good game against Aberdeen at the weekend is practically zero such is his consistency. Remember a couple games after the Sevco game earier this season he got a start against Alloa and was shocking. Got another start in the league against Motherwell and was hooked on the hour mark again after a shocker.

Don't see where your faith comes from.

My faith comes from the last two games, and remember the 5-1 game against Rangers ? He was immense in that game too and scored. Plus he always had it with Dundee United like I said. Just needs a good run in the team to get going.
I used to think the same about Scott Allan, but he never got that continuity chance either.

The last two games? Seriously? I think you need to remember just how pish Sevco are and playing 'immense' against them should be taken with a pinch of salt.

We'll see how he performs against the best side in the league outwith ourselves at the toughest venue on Saturday.

I'll hazard a guess that he'll resort back to the same shitebag in 50/50s and getting bullied off the ball, the same erratic passer with zero penetration of defences, * first touch/control and poor decision making, zero skill set or technical ability and of course being one of the pussiest shooters I have watched at us with him either hitting/passing it straight at the keeper or ballooning it way off target.

I hope I'm wrong but this is the Armstrong I've been watching for the majority of the last 18 months.

I don't regard any team as "pish ", I respect all our opponents.
Ross County weren't "pish " tonight.
Anyways, don't want to take this thread off topic .
