Wee interview on the wee bbc website, full interview on football focus.

From 60 goals in 3 seasons to training with the reserves.

I know his game wasnt what it was but just shows how ruthless the game can be.

I don’t like that one bit. Regardless of your opinion on his performances towards the end, someone like Sinclair being told to train with the reserves is pretty poor.

I'm in a mood with BBC this week and don't want to use their site, anyone care to copy the full thing in?

I'm glad he speaks positively of us. Getting stuck with the reserves could have made him leave with a negative opinion.

I wish him all the best. At his peak he was a quality player.

Same thing they did with Bobo when he had the audacity to not want to leave for a reduced wage.

Minging way to treat guys that gave some brilliant moments to our club.

That is true (to an extent) but Sinclair was hardly firing on all levels now was he? Defences in Scotland had figured him out, and he hardly changed his game.

Whether or not Lennon didn't like the look of him, or whether it was because of financial reasons is neither here nor there. He wasn't good enough for Celtic at the end up (neither was Morgan bit that's a discussion for a different time).

Most players leave with the fans in the hearts etc. Some have stuck the boot in to the board at times, Lustig for one, but always know that the board does not represent the club, that is the support.

As @Seán Mac D points out though, they did this same * with Bobo and others inbetween. This board is both a great thing for the club and a * disgrace. For every positive bank sheet and financial security we have, we get no investment in the team. For every unearthed gem that they rightly get plaudits for when we sell for big money, we hang out long serving and hard working servants to dry and * them over. Players through Europe will know this as well, players talk and agents certainly do. I'd be surprised if the way we have treated Sinclair, Bobo etc doesn't turn some players off.

We do have a habit of treating players like trash.

Aye he wasn't as sparkling as that first season and a bit, but he had undoubted ability could score and could offer far more than many of the wide players we've been * about with.

We should never have offered him another year he should have known not to sign it. Greed on both parties backfired

Now that’s not true though is it? Not when we had Morgan, Johnstone and Hayes ahead of him in the pecking order when, at their peak, they haven’t contributed anywhere near as much as Sinclair did when he was supposedly poor.

Also, we have a loan signing who has been injured for half of the season.

It’s very relevant to the situation. Questioning Sinclair’s ability relative to our other players is not a different discussion at all.

I wish someone would 'treat me like trash' by giving me £40k a week to sit on my * and do nothing.

    Poor wee lamb!

It isn’t in the context of deeming whether he is good enough for us.

Don't disagree with any of that but that doesn't mean he should be frozen out of the first-team and made to train with the reserves.

Lawwell was obviously seething that he didn't move to Preston in July and that we've been shelling out £30k+ a week on him.

He should've been thanked for his efforts and allowed to leave in the summer with the best wishes of the club. Instead we've made an * of it.

Triggering his contract just to treat him like that.

    Brilliant.

We took up an option that he and his representatives had previously agreed to.

Not as if he was being held captive like a * house slave.

Should have put up more of a fight anyway.
