I'd hazard a guess that we aren't getting anything in the way of a transfer fee. If anything I think we might be taking a hit as he won't be getting the same wages down there.

I think its sad that he's just drifting away, he hasn't reached the peaks he did during his first season for us, but I always felt that we could get much more out of him if he was allowed to play more consistently , Good luck Scotty

No matter what your opinion is on his playing time here lately, it’s pretty clear he’s been treated really shabbily just as others have before him. There seems to be a pattern from those in charge just freeze players out and scunner them out the door.

 

This. It’s just the type of player he is, gets motivated with a move and flies into form, but then after a while the motivation goes.

People forget how backwards his game became, scared to take a man on and struggled when Armstrong left since he created the space for him with channel runs along with KT overlapping.

 

Happened to many a club legend over the years at Celtic.

He's no a legend by any means, and aye he's been pushed out the door but let's be honest he's been garbage for a long time now, well found out after his first season (imo) by defenders.

He played his part in historic times here at Celtic, and he will be more than welcome back as a spectator.

 

Bittersweet with this. Isnt good enough the now but what a player he was on his day. That first season was unreal.

 

Would had him playing up front in the cup final rather than Morgan .
It sometimes happen when another manager comes in and doesn't really fancy somebody else's signing and get frozen out .

 

I enjoyed watching him play many times and loved some of his goals. Can only wish him the best of luck.

thanks for the memories Scotty! and some memories they were . wether his game was going south because of age or lack of playing time is up for debate , however the way he was treated imo was pretty crap. tell you another thing he embraced the big games especially against that other mob. all the best Mr Sinclair !

I'm no gonna coat him off though now he's on the way out. He definitely contributed massively here for a period of our success..

 

Would 100% get in my team of the decade. His contribution to the treble treble was massive. He was on fire throughout his debut season.

But he’s been done for 12-18 months. Glad he’s away because it wasn’t good for anyone seeing him so out of the picture.

 

Now we've said our goodbyes... Think of all that money we've saved!

Oh aye his goals & assists record speaks for itself, will always remember him at his best just disappointed cause he could of ended up being so much bigger here.

His form did dip but still produced the goals and assists in that period.

Not counting the fleeting showings this season, NL has been making a * of it with players expecting them to come in from the cold and expected to turn games around, him and Schved both scored goals and were never seen again, Griff getting fkn 5 mins at the end of games.

Tbh we are well served out wide, good to see we're after another 10 wide men :/

 

Shame he was always a goal scorer for us and I thought he could still do a job for us, Lennon thought otherwise.
