    Good.

If he left, he would have left with my best wishes, but he stays and is the experience and old head we need on the left

We need his experience to shore up that left side after the Cluj disaster. Saves any desperate need to go out and buy another as well.

Another season with Johnston being a proper under study and breaking in to that position and making it his own by end of the season is ideal.

Sinclair and Johnston for the left.
Forrest and shved for the right.

Arzani and Morgan still around, young dembele will no doubt guest appear once or twice.

The other good thing with Sinclair is that he can play up front as well and will guarantee you goals in that position. His instincts in the box are fantastic.

Neil Lennon insists Scott Sinclair has a big role still to play at Celtic .

The Hoops boss wants to trim a bloated group but there was no move for Sinclair on deadline day, despite interest from Preston and Derby.

The winger, who is in the final year of his contract, didn’t travel for Wednesday’s 1-1 draw against Cluj in Romania but the manager admitted: “There was some interest but nothing materialised, so we carry on as normal.

"Scotty will be in the squad and he’s a player who can make a big contribution. He has been unfortunate as at the moment he’s finding it difficult to nail down a place because of the form of others.”

Aye, the group is so bloated that Lewis Morgan got a start the other night.

Board have * up the way they have dealt with him if Derby offered 1.5 and he wanted to go should have just accepted it now we have a player where it looked like we wanted to move him on hasn't happened...how can you expect that player to be happy

What is the story surrounding it? Was it the board who stopped it happening? Cos i thought he was left at home to go see about it.
Personally i woulda been worried if we lost kt and sinclair from the left side in the same day on deadline day

Was all a bit cloak and dagger, he never made the squad, went to Derby for the supposed transfer and that never materialised.

Seems like we were happy to let him go, he was for the off but hey ho.

I personally think he was told he was surplus to requirements but doesn't want to go, he wouldn't have signed the extension a few months back if he was looking to get out.

And if anyone has ever been to Derby, you go there once and never want to see the * forsaken shitehole again!

Its been pretty clear from Lennon came in that hes no his biggest fan but i am glad he didnt go as i said , losing kt then him from the left on the same day would have been a nightmare so if it was the board who put a stop to it once the kt transfer went through then good on them, i wouldnt blame them for that. We would all be up in arms if they had allowed that to happen on deadline day.

Tantamount to derelict of duty this week playing Lewis Morgan in that game in front of an untried left back.

The sort of * that will make Lennon a hero or run out of town....I personally think it was ridiculous.

He never signed an extension the club activated it, the whole thing smacks of Lawwell giving him the extra year so he could punt him.

Absolutely shocking treatment to an invincible treble treble winner. Lennon has got us playing exciting, direct football but he needs hung out to dry for his dealing of Sinclair. Sinclair needs to play today.

Sinclair will be back in the team, maybe it's a wee boot up the * he needed.
Wasn't great last year and is on a good wage so with his age maybe made sense letting him go but as of yet hes the best player we have on the books for left mid.

No. I was trying to make the point that Morgan wasn’t ready to play in a CL qualifier but had to because we had no other options.
Sinclair had bizarrely been given the night off.

I think the club still want to punt him. From the outside it looks like they just took up his one year contract with the plan of not playing him and selling him. If that's the case it's a shoddy way to treat someone who has helped bring loads of silverware to the club.

Agree with comments on Lenny opening his big trap, guy is shunted out in an important game and yet now he's in the plans again.

Hope Sincy is able to get into the groove but I'm doubtful with this cluster * scenario that has just played out.
