Scott Sinclair!

Exactly we need key areas strengthening.

 

An incredible goal-scorer for us but he's no longer good enough to be first choice. If our recruitment was better i'd be fine with him leaving and us properly replacing him with somebody to push Johnston, but i just dont see it.

 

Im not bothered with him going, too soft for me and doesn't make enough of an impact. Seems like hes been unhappy for a year or two - probably used to a 50 game season then 6 weeks off in the summer and can't handle the schedule here.

Needs replacing though as I was happy with Johnston first choice and Sinclair to fall back on.

 

Left back is now a priority position over all other's for me. Tonight hammered that home..

Then we need a powerful midfielder. A box to box runner type. I watched tonight us lose the midfield battle a few time's and weren't mixing it well enough.....til Ntcham came on funnily enough..

Then a left winger/10. Can't rely on Christie and Morgan for the whole season and Rogic is always *. Need someone who can play both roles as Sinclair is away and Morgan isn't good enough..

I would imagine Lennon has had a straight up conversation with Sinclair and made it clear that he isn't his #1 pick at this particular time.

Playing him on the eve of the English transfer window closing when we could receive a multi-million pound offer that would allow us to fund the signing of a Lennon prefers would be idiotic.

I get that you're pro-Sinclair and champion his indisputably good statistics but if he's not the managers #1 LW then it makes no logical sense to pay him the highest wage at the club.

Unless he's wanted to go, or caused some kind of stir behind the scenes,he's been treated terribly. Fair does, it will be a big wage shifted, but we won't reinvest the cash and as frustrating as he could be, we will struggle to replace his numbers.

 

We all knew he would be away Lenny doesn’t like the tippy tappy stuff direct and fast is his way!

But as someone said we will sign Brandon Barker now!

 

His time has come, he’s not a player that sticks around for a long time at clubs as its clear to see he looses his motivation and needs a fresh challenge.

Thanks for the memories Scotty, I think this is best for both parties, yes he can still offer a lot but not near the level of his first season and certainly not worth £35K per week.

He would’ve been fantastic last night. I honestly think if we started Sinclair over Morgan we would’ve won comfortably against Cluj. That left side just needed a bit of experience and composure.

It should be him a Johnston taking turns on that left side. He could mentor Johnston and he would still get plenty of game time.
