Aye and us pretty much knowing he'll never get that first season back..

For enough if you've lost a slight yard and can't produce constantly but...it's the reluctance to even go at his man these day's. The shimmy shimmy up to a defender and no, let's cut back and release to KT..

He looks petrified at time's. 29 year old experienced player who has been on fire and suddenly loses its, for some long, to the point he looked almost happy to be benched during all our big game's for McGregor..

Mate I'd take half his goals for someone bursting a gut up and down, but who could create plenty just from his movement, nevermind assists..

I think Weah may show just how different our play can be with that explosive running out to in and ability to skin his man..

I'd say he has been rattled once too often by big clogger opposition players and don't fancy it. He was skinning them without thinking first season. Now he tends to dwell and the moments opportunity is gone.

The point is, his stats say other wise.

Honestly, think we as a fanbase were spoiled with him first year. Teams didn't know how to deal with him and he looked fresh and exciting.
Next two years teams are doubling up - some times 4 - as teams generally pack two big * off buses Infront of us.
It's affected Sinclair's game, no doubt about it, he doesn't look as blistering. He is forced to play the ball back more etc, and we see too often that he doesn't seem to make this great runs forward as season one.

But the stats don't lie, he is still one of our best attacking options, directly involved in over 30 goals each season and on track to do so again.

Also doesn't help that his first 5 or 6 games for us he was scoring every game. Think some folk expect him to still score every game.

It's frustrating when he misses penalties etc, but he still looks for the ball, still tries and still is a top scorer/assist for us.

No hurray to move him on at all, even if we do get frustrated at times.

Teams literally put ten behind the ball on us, Sinclair is a winger not our main striker. Others are there to be our true finisher.
The guys still putting in the work and the figures for his position are a good return.

Yep it's clear as day he'll doesn't fancy it in certain game's..

If you have a bit of pace and hit him once, he's gone..

Seen Hendry do it for Dundee
    Tavernier has his number now
O'Donnell has had him easy a few time's

Been more than that as well..

A fast tricky winger that plays without fear and can go both ways is much welcome, IF that's where we end up playing Weah..

Brendan knows it as well, which is why he dropped him after he missed an open goal in the nil nil game and stuck McGregor there everytime after near enough..

Sinclair used to have Tavernier sitting on his *, just by shaping to take him on..

Tavernier does not have Sinclair’s number.

The Huns have won a single game from 13 and folk are seriously losing their *.

Fair enough but I don't trust him against them (no just them either) and our manager hasn't trusted him against them and other big game's when we've got a full quota..

Would never of been the case during the first season..

I know he's scored a few lately but still not good enough all round for us anymore. Doesn't do anything in possession. Scoring a few tap ins but that's all he's done. Use to be brillant to watch couple years ago.

    16/17 Sinclair 50 app 25 goals
    --------Forrest 48 . 8

    17/18 Sinclair 55 18
    --------forrest 58. 17

    18/19 Sinclair 34. 11
    --------Forrest 35. 11

I realise that stats are like miniskirts etc. Sinclair looked amazing in his first season maybe that's because we all got used to watching armstrong or samaras trying to play there .considering most of us thought Forrest was brilliant last season Sinclair had more goals ,don't know what the assists are over the same period of someone has them it may give a better picture

I think it’s also to do with the way we’ve played, first season a lot of our play was forward and getting balls in behind using the runners which suits Sinclair perfect to use his pace.

The whole of last year there were so many games we played sideways passes and balls to Sinclair with his back to goal or pushed out wide with little space, he needs the ball played ahead of him so he’s already running at the defenders. That * with his confidence and attitude.

It’s not totally his fault but he could definitely apply himself better and actually run at players. Reminds me of Forrest under Ronny, squares up his man passes back or sideways then wanders into the middle.

    Completely agree.

If he was taking men on, beating men, creating chances, tracking back, winning 50/50s etc and scoring tap ins then that would be perfect. But just being in the right place at the right time every so often to finish a chance isn't good enough for a winger at Celtic Football Club.

One of those ones that we’ll see an interview with Years after retiring and we’ll be telling those that are too young to remember how good he was. Might not be in the form of his life but the numbers don’t lie

    As are penalties.

It’s funny how petty people are getting to try and run down his goal record. There’s plenty of sticks to beat him with, I don’t know why folk are trying hard to go after one that has no basis in reality.

Ofcourse we could always have another James Forrest on the other side who's been fantastic yet will get no where near Scotts assists and goals.

Headers they are. Scotty knows how to put the ball in the back of the net and people shouldnt give a flying fck if its penalties, tap ins or knocking them in with his cockle. The main thing is, the ball is in the back f the net. Yes scotty can be frustrating at times but hes an very good player. Fs even henrik was frustrating at times yet still managed o put the ball where it mattered most!
