You missed the 1st twenty minutes eh? He was the only positive thing, tried to take the game by the scruff of the nexk, had a few chances. The 1st goal he managed to set it up because he kept getting into those positions and getting a shot off, then he passed it instead while they were looking for the shot.

2nd half he just quietly went about his business. Was very happy with him, stood up when we needed it.

Must admit I thought he was poor as well. Predictable and kept going away from goal and losing the ball

I thought the same. I couldn't believe it when I seen people in here saying he was good.

Not to mention his wife's wee brother, Jack Webster, has just had a foot amputated due to sepsis.

Bound to play on his mind.

Thought he played well, was a threat and kept them on there toes. An assist, a couple of shots and some good link up play in and around the box. Delighted with his performance and hoping he can build from it again

Thought he played well, 1st half especially when nothing was really going for us.

I think with him now, it is the case that people are getting into the habit of just ignoring decent bits of play because of how he has been lately.

I'm desperate for him to nab a few goals. Still think hes a very valuable asset.

Look like the player of old tonight.

Hope he can push on from this game.

Thought he wasn't up to much myself to be honest.

Sure he ran at them down the wing a few times, but to me he didn't look like he was confident doing it. Night and day looking at the confidence and drive of Forrest.

Still took the easy pass back to Tierney too often for me and I felt the only real threat down the left was when Brendan changed things and Tierney started grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck and tried to make things happen.

Tidy at times in the 2nd half, but was the least influential attacking player. I don't feel he offers enough to deserve a start right now.

EDIT: Offers absolutely nothing defensively too. Easiest player to brush off the ball in our team, chases back well but makes half-arsed tackles.

Again I compare to Forrest who excels at both sides of the game. I think Jamesy has just set a really high standard and Sinclair doesn't come close to hitting it for me right now.

I didn't think he was great but you could see the pieces starting to fall back into place for him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him back in his stride soon. Can't see him hitting the heights of 16/17 again though.

I thought he disappeared after about the first half hour, but that may have been to the fact Forrest was shifted out to his natural position and seeing more of the ball. That said he pulled a good save out the keeper near the end.

Agree with this in particular, Forrest looks a better player. Better drive, power, speed, dribbling, finishing.

I actually think Sinclair is, or should be, better in 2-3 of those aspects, but he hasn't shown it for months. Would 100% be looking to improve on him.

I would be starting McGregor ahead of him on the left with Rogic in the middle, like the end of last season.
McGregor offers so much more on the left, offensively and defensively imo.

I said the same before the game, but to be fair to sinkler he did do a lot more of what we are used to seeing last night. Drove at his man and tried to beat him on the outside, trying to cut into the box for shots - things he lacked last season in particular.

He's very much a confidence player and hopefully he's starting to build a wee bit of it.

Swear to * we could have Messi playing for us and we’d be moaning like * because he didn’t dribble around 8 players and chip the keeper... he * passed the ball back!
Imagine keeping possession? How dare he! He should be belting shots from the halfway line then we can really have something to moan about!

Thought he had a good game tbh. Couple of frustrating things like holding onto the ball and getting brushed off it too easily a couple of times but also worked tirelessly both directions, occupied their backline well, linked up with KT and others very well, got an assist and unlucky not to score himself.
Sure there's more to come also. Well played.

Really? Thought it was role reversal certainly from what I saw from what I saw. Thought Forrest was alright but thought all our better play came from Sinclair especially in 2nd half, with Sinclair, Ed and Oli when he was on. Lovely ball by Forrest for goal, but he passed it back a lot too and actually thought in the end wee blondey at LB had him everytime up wing taking the ball off him. Sincy certainly ain't too great defensively, mind you did Blondey not score for them?

Thought he played well albeit a bit predictable. He looks sharper and a bit more confident than he did last season, hopefully this was a sign he's getting somewhat near the level where he was in his first season.

Yeah well hopefully he does build on it, he’s a great player when he’s on it. He’s got all the attributes, just not the confidence at times.
For me though, still. Rogic in the hole and McGregor out wide, and I think when Rogic is back and game fit that’s what Brendan will play.

I think folk expect too much of him, myself included. He played well last night, the predictable thing could be said of any player in the squad because we know their traits that well now but with Sinclair it's as if he's the guy expected to do something out of the ordinary purely because he is a goal scoring and creative winger.

If he goes and has another season of double figure assists and goals he's a definite asset. He also has Champions League level performances in him and that's where we're wanting to be.

    Very predictable.
