He's still the top scorer with 17 goals and that's him having a supposedly poor season with quite a few games still left,
Mcgregor would be lucky to score 5 or 6 goals a season , Eduoard is not a left winger either with heavy goals and assists.

prefer Roberts to Forrest on the right side too , Even though Forrest is having a decent season.

One of the issues this season is the lack of intricate link up play between him and KT.. two players of such high quality should have linked up much better. In fact it should be Dynamite, interchanging and taking it in turns to go wide or cut inside.. for some reason they just haven't performed that well together..

Part of the reason is teams flooding that area of the pitch with players to stop them, this has given Forrest much more space on the right and coupled with his intelligent play has made him our most effective player this season.

Also having no viable RB suited to playing the 4-2-3-1 (Lustig done, Ralston injured now loaned, Gamboa hated?) a system that brought so much success last season & is the best to showcase Sinclair's talents. Defo hasn't helped him..

I like the 3-4-2-1 system it gives us a lot of power from the midfield but it doesn't really suit Sinclair..

A quality RB is essential now to give us the flexibility of playing 4-2-3-1... and utilising him in his best position.

He is but the majority of his goals and assists were at the start of the season, his form has slid, it's pointless to argue otherwise. He has missed some gilt-edged chances for us at crucial times in recent months. He looked a bit more lively against Motherwell when he came on but then blew a brilliant chance to take all 3 points when he had 2 square balls that would've undoubtedly ended up with a goal.

Also McGregor has 12 goals for the season.

Edouard, I agree isn't suited to playing on the left. It did work when down a man at ibrox but he's wasted out wide in my opinion.

He may have missed some chances at times this season, Than last season he was just putting them away nearly every shot clinical, but still getting into the positions to score the goals will come back.

Honestly, I don't agree. He scored a ridiculous amount of goals for us last season and justifiably got POTY but I can think of quite a few times where he missed sitters. Watch back the highlights of the ibrox 5-1 game for example. Had he been clinical we might've hit them for double figures that day.

Another example off the top of my head was in the Scottish Cup final right before half-time a brilliant ball was whipped in from the left (possibly Tierney?) and he completely fluffed it over the bar.

This might come across as hypercritical but it's not, I just don't think Sinclair is as clinical as you're making out, even last season when he scored a crazy amount of goals; which might seem contradictory.

goals give confidence it's the same with Dembele' when sometimes he looks not interested in the game, then he scores in the game after that he looks a world beater.

He still has 2 or 3 years left on his contract too, 10m+ if he was to be sold.
Far stronger team with him though and very difficult to replace the type of player he is.

I agree that us not having an overlapping right back is affecting Sinclair’s effectiveness.

You’d think they’d be unrelated but as a previous poster mentioned, teams can afford to concentrate on defending our left hand side as our only viable threat from the right has been Forrest.

If we sold all the good players that are in the papers linked such as Tierney,Dembele and Sinclair we'd have no one left ,some bank balance! at a guess 50m on those 3 players alone on top of 40m already in the bank with potentially CL football to come in the summer again!

If he wants to leave I have no issue, since his missus is having another baby. As long as he moves somewhere close to her or else he’s at it. He’s contributed massively to two memorable seasons. Plus opens the door to Musonda, ready made replacement.

Rodgers on the radio saying, "Scott Sinclair is happy. The media like to make things up!" He's here for the ten.

The Daily Ranger, and the pathetic excuse of scottish sports 'journalism' discredited again!

FORGET the back-page rumours - everything is still wonderful, beautiful and magical in Paradise for Scott Sinclair. The Englishman was bemused to read suggestions in the press that he wasn’t happy at Celtic after returning to Glasgow from a short break with his family during the international week.

The truth is simple: Sinclair loves the club, and he and his young family are happy and settled in Scotland. Leave? Out of the question. He wants to be here for 10 –in-a-row!

And speaking exclusively to the matchday programme for this weekend’s game against Ross County, Sinclair was keen to set the record straight and reassure the Hoops faithful his full focus is on hitting top gear again and finishing the season with a flourish.

“It was just speculation and maybe because I didn’t play in the last couple of games – but I love this club and I love being here,” he said. “This is why I chose to play for Celtic. I’m happy and enjoying my football. There’s always going to be speculation, but I need to put my head down and get back to the form that I showed the fans last year.

“I have been to so many clubs and this is where I’ve been at my happiest. Leaving here would be out the question. I want to be here for 10-in-a-row.

“The missus is settled and loves it up here – she loves the city and everything about it. We have another little one on the way as well. I’m in a happy place right now.

“My confidence is still up there. I’m still confident I can score goals and play well but it’s just putting that on to the pitch and giving the fans something to cheer about.

“I set my standards so high, winning Player of the Year and as a team we won an Invincible Treble, so it was an unbelievable year and those are the standards everyone expects now. That’s fair enough and it’s about proving that, keeping your confidence up, which it is, and going out and performing.”

The champions’ first chance to set down a marker towards that goal will be Saturday's visit of struggling Ross County, who current prop up the league table. Despite their predicament, Sinclair expects a difficult test from the Staggies.

“I think it’ll be a tough game - it always is no matter where the team are in the league,” he said. “Whenever a team comes to Celtic Park, it’s like their cup final. I’m sure we’ll have more possession and they might sit in. It will be a very hard game but we want to get that momentum back, as we go into the last part of the season.

“Coming back, the players who didn’t go on the internationals are going to be fresher while those who played in the international matches will have been ticking over. It’s up to us to win the games and then pick up the momentum.”

Glad he’s staying, think sometimes we are abit harsh or impatient with players who are having a lacklustre season despite being brilliant in the past.
