He is definitely lacking in confidence, he used to cut in and take a shot 9/10 times but now he takes too many touches and ends up losing possession.

He went from our main threat last season to almost nullified this season. In his defence though teams noticeably double up on him now making his game that bit more difficult. And his Mrs being pregnant wont have kept his mind focused on his job if my Mrs is anything to go by.

Some of the disrespect being shown to Sinclair in here is staggering.

Brown, KT and Forrest apart, not one single other player in that squad can say they've played to their best this season. Yes, we expect more especially from senior players like Sinclair. But let's not forget the number of goals he's scored to help us get 9 points clear at this stage of the season, or the amount of goals he's assisted.

The guy puts up with being racially abused by knuckle draggers, doubled up on by every defence in the country and probably one of the most fouled players in the league this season while the rest of us expect him to pull rabbits out a hat while running down the wing every week.

Anyone wanting him sold based on this season must want the entire squad sold based on what we've had so far. Either that or Sinclair is the scapegoat for certain folk's frustrations that we aren't 20 points clear and in the last 16 of the CL. They really need to give themselves a good shake and get a grip.

Agree that Sinclair is owed more respect for what he done last season (and also what he has done in the early stages of this one). I do think that you are being very generous in saying Tierney has played to his best this season though.

Personally I don’t think he’* the heights of last season yet (most likely down to the fact he’s not had a chance to rest) and I would be on the lookout for a left back to be his understudy in the summer. Part of me worries that we’re running the risk of burning him out long-term.

Think everyone agrees he’s been poor but a goal/assist return like his when playing poor bodes well. We know how good a player he is, once he gets a bit of confidence back, he will be fine. Also don’t think it’s a coincidence that Forrest has been brilliant this season...teams have looked at Sinclair as the threat and have doubled up/shifted to combat that, leaving more space for jamesy on the right.

I think he's been a stand out this season. For me he's picked up where he left off at the end of last season. Thursday he was immense and arguably man of the match alongside a few other contenders. I know it's not the general consensus but I think KT has been brilliant so far.

Wingers that base their game on only their pace and dribbling ability will always be inconsistent to a certain degree.

I think this used to be the case with a younger Forrest but now he has came leaps and bounds on the more technical side of his game. The way he recieves the ball shows a vision and a first touch that I dont think Sinclair has.

Have we ever had a truly consisntent goal scoring winger that based themselves on solely their pace?
