Think we all said it last year at times as well, guy needs some sort of competition. Be it to rest him, drop when off form, take the pressure off him, or just to change it up when it isn't working. Nothing bad towards the lad, think he is naturally one of our better players and clearly has off days like we all do. He will come good.
But like last year with gms being his back up, hayes just doesn't seem to cut it yet either. The left wing is all his and judging by what he said about his time at city and more so villa, I don't think a * ton of pressure and burden does the lad any good. Specially not when it comes to the big games and he will be feeling the pressure to perform and then knowing we are going to be on the back foot a lot more, which he does not enjoy doing.
Some could argue that as a model professional he should manage these demands better, but the guy is only human after all. He comes as a winger who began life as a striker, he isn't set up to defend at all. He has spoken out about his time at villa being overly defensive and not letting him perform the way he does best, perhaps the bigger games he gets pushed the same way in to a defensive side and naturally he doesn't perform as well?

Either way, the lad clearly is an attacking marvel for us, but while he goes through a bad patch, perhaps we should look to take a bit of the pressure away from him. Hayes isn't cutting it, but we do have a pair of more than adequate right wingers who we struggle to get both in the team. Maybe Roberts or forrest out on the left some times?

We have a young left back in fact he is one of the best in the game, leave him were he is best and think about a replacement on the left wing as Sinclair just hasn't been on his game this year, still has 10 goals but performance has been sub standard

A great way to learn is to try positions on the pitch you directly work with. Builds a greater understanding.

Its also a great way to confuse a player, he's doing outstanding were he is, teams are to quick to shoehorn a player into another position cos that position is weak, in Tierneys situation he's that good at defending and going forward he would be a massive miss at lb and not easy to replace, Sinclair is, we have Forrest that can play there Hayes, Johnston and Roberts could also come in

One of our best players but in Europe more often than not seems to go missing.

I'd agree with that, seen people saying they'd take him over Samaras in Europe which is ridiculous. In the league, I'd have sinclair every day of the week but Sammy was far better in european competition.

Lennon played to Samaras' strengths in Europe.

    Would be different under Rodgers.

Samaras was the opposite, really inconsistent but in big games could pull something miraculous off!

Half the England team have withdrawn from the two friendlies v Brazil and Germany. If Sinclair doesn’t get a chance now then he can forget about England.

Heard Southgate on the radio a couple weeks ago saying Sinclair is a level below England international level, can't see him adding Sincy to the squad after that comment.

Let’s be completely honest and unbiased, his form just now falls well short of his scintillating best last season.

If we’re going to be fair, he doesn’t deserve a call up just now.

He doesn't even deserve a game for Celtic right now based on his current form, nevermind England...
