He definitely seems to have been off form recently.. i appreciate he tends to work hard but i think a wee rest might do him some good. Guys in his position can't always be on form and i think Brendan is maybe a bit too loyal in not putting him on the bench.

need some competition for his starting place

He's been doing it most of the season. Lots of running with very little product either way

Seems to be a bit short on confidence from whatever reason, never beats his man and runs into pockets of trouble.

He is still one of our best players and will bounce back to his best very soon.

When he is good he is very good but when he is bad he is horrid.

I used to always say Ledley was a solid 7 out of 10 player, meaning that his form generally never dipped under that but ocassionally he would throw in a 9 or 10.

Sinclair seems to either 10/10 or 5/10, there doesn't seem to be a middle ground for him.

    5/10 is generous.

He was absolutely anonymous last night. Can't remember him touching the ball more than half a dozen times.

Problem is aswell he's last player we should rest since he has no international commitments. * get his rest then. That'll have to be enough to sort it.

Needed to be more courageous and for me also cut inside more often. Forrest mixed it up last night by driving down the wing, cutting inside and this was turning them inside out. Basically forresr played with courage and confidence which we needed from Sinclair last night.
He was immense last season in CL and needs to get back to it

i think he has a mental block when playing agaimst top european teams, i tjimk his time in england has affected him in big games, he maybe believes he isnt good enough to play against top european teams and players, even though ability wise he is good enough mentally i dont think he believes in himself...

I wouldn't go as far as saying Forrest is better than him on form.

Important not to be too critical and lose sight of what Scott has done in just over a year for us.

Still provided a lot for us so far this season but his overall game needs to improve. Having a tough time at the minute and I think he might need a rest tbh.

    Really?

1 thing I am gonna be critical about with him is he does pass the buck to KT when under pressure in big game's a bit too much for my liking and sometimes even domestically albeit for different reason's..

Didn't take that as his point at all.

I took it as Forrest on form being better than an in form Sinclair.

Also those 3 games you mention there have turned out to be the 3 most important in terms of our entire European campaign so hardly a great example.

Forrest had an outstanding game last night but were it not for Sinclair and his goals he wouldn't even have had the opportunity to do so.

Our fans have short memories at times.
