If he continues to perform and score in Europe he will make it very difficult to be ignored.

He's not being ignored now, he's being told he's not good enough.

"I think he is just below the level of what we have already got."

Can't get more clear than that.

Southgate is a grade a *, shyte manager and had a share club management career.

He can't spot a talent to save his life.

I see you’ve cutely removed the start of his sentence - ‘at the moment’.

He’s never once said Sinclair isn’t good enough nor would he be clever to.

Second place in the Uefa goal of the week.

Bale got the number 1 spot.

Sorry, as that makes a huge difference

Playing the way he does in our league means nothing to the English system and the English media. Forster got a call up because goalkeepers are hard to come by, especially in England. If he'd have been playing in England he'd of been starting for them that World Cup instead of on the bench because he is and was far better than Joe Hart.

If Sinclair was playing like this in England the media would be falling over themselves about him, the big return to form, England call ups. Southgate would be pressured into calling him up. Instead, they can pretend he doesn't exist because he plays in Scotland. Southgate can wipe it under the carpet with a couple of sentences. He's hardly going to tell him he never has a chance in the media, but I guarantee he won't get called up while he's in Scotland.

But I don't care. Quite frankly I don't think Scott does either as he gets to spend time with his family and recover before playing in the Champions League and in front of 60k fans, for a team he's falling in love with.

It makes ALL the difference for anyone with a basic grasp of the English language.

I get that he's not gonna call up Sinclair ahead of someone like Sterling, or Walcott or Ox Chamberlain (even though I don't rate any of them to the high standard those down south do)

But Harry Winks has just been called up. Is Sinclair really a level below Winks at the moment? Maybe he is...but I watch english football from time to time and he's never blew me away - while Sinclair just scored away in the champs league last week.

For some reason, I had the impression he was a right cocky guy before he signed.

Couldn’t be further from the truth. Seems very genuine & down to earth!

    Hope he’s here for life!

    Cringe.

There's a difference between being a master of the English language like yourself, and trimming down a quote.

    Edit:
Also, way to ignore everything I said regarding Sinclair, since it's spot on.

English football people have deluded themselves to the point they believe Domestic football in their country is better than Europe's Elite Competition, and someone earning a higher wage in a joke shop of a footballing market is automatically a better footballer.

And they wonder why they havent improved in the last 20 or 30 years.

    ^^THIS.

If we had a young lad who was bursting at the seams to get that cap I'd be a tad concerned given the previous views down South of players plying their trade in Scotland who are performing within a level to get recognised internationally and had the view that they may need to showcase thier talent in England to be considered. However given that SS won't miss a minute of sleep over his exclusion its win-win all round for us as we have a content player who has given the Premiership a blast and who is settled and actually using the international break as family time/recovery time instead of cap chasing time meaning we also have less of an injury risk who's only bursting at the seams for Champs League and domestic success :50:

Best thing is to just ignore what England do they don't take any notice of us so why should we take any notice of them best thing to do is don't watch their football and concentrate on watching our team

The English national team is hardly a benchmark for excellence in any case!
