But yet he thinks Jesse Lingard is good enough. Southgate hasn't got a clue. What has Lingard done to deserve a call up, doesn't even start for Man United. Not just Lingard there are loads of others in there squad that are questionable to say the least. Trying to make out England are world beaters when they are nowhere near it.

 

Those stats are scary and to think he has been nowhere near his self from last season he has drifted in and out of games so far and then I see those stats that will at least treble when he starts firing kinda convienent that sums up our start to the season we have shone in some games and been lacklustre in others while still winning * dam I'm excited for the rest of the season

 

Southgate plays down Sinclair call up.

"I had a conversation with Brendan (Rodgers, Celtic boss) about him at the end of last season," Southgate said.

"He's a good player but we have good quality in that area of the pitch and at the moment I think he is just below the level of what we have already got."

And he added: "I would be happy to have that conversation (what he needs to do to break through) with him but I don't think it's appropriate to talk about performance aspects in public."

How * petty is that? He's performing in the Champions League, scoring goals, winning trophies and in the form of his career.

Feel sorry for Scott, but nothing new. *'em. That attitude is why they'll never achieve anything. It is, for instance, why Thommo only got one cap. It's why they tried to shoehorn a very good box-to-box midfielder (Lampard) and a truly great box-to-box midfielder (Gerrard) into the same side, even though they all knew it * up the balance of their side at a time when they had some really good players like Scholes and Beckham and could maybe have challenged for something. * forbid the star Englishman at one of the big big London clubs might not make the team because there was someone even better.
