If it is 5 bids then fair enough I say we have only made about 3 max this being the third! I don't think it's embaressing another club didn't match what they wanted either they are not going to get a penny more than 3 million off anybody so they may aswell * accept it

We aren't struggling... in buisness you never give a club the asking Price first or second time you test the water With a snide bid then another then finally up it more without still paying for the full price they want. I say this is our third bid as I said previous post still * annoying

I agree. No it doesn't look like we have learned yet, which is a shame.

Sure there will be another Celtic bid for Scott Sinclair. But it didn't happen today.

He's one of the more reliable ones.

Past caring and pretty much past listening to the 10 different twitter accounts all claiming their sources or themselves as being on the money. This has been going on far too long and I'm sure we have other options we've been looking at playing the same position. I'll be happy if he eventually signs but I'm ready to move on tbh.

Would more gravitate towards O'Henley, has always been very reliable

One worked for Celtic the other writes for The Daily Mail.

    No brainer.

None of them are always spot on. O'Henley was saying last week that Sinclair would be in by midweek there.

I think his Sinclair deal is just stumping everyone. It's on-off constantly.

McGowan also worked for Celtic. And he's usually fairly reliable with transfers regarding Celtic.

Be hilarious if he turns out to be pish :fear:. Hopefully if this falls through which is looking likely, we have quality back up.

We have a month to complete the deal, calm down. One or two players fresh in the door are unlikely to make a big difference in qualification. The guys in this window and January 17 need to make the difference next year

When did he say he'd be in by midweek?

I don't think O'Henley has got one wrong yet...

Not a chance there is a 3.8 million buyout. Otherwise they wouldn't be requesting 5 million plus.

I'm sure Aston Villa did that with another player but can't remember who it was, a club met a players release clause but Villa wanted more apparently.

    Alex O'Henley ‏@OHenleyAlex Jul 22
Kolo Toure gu #Celtic an-diugh agus Scott Sinclair tràth an ath sheachdain.

Translates roughly to Sinclair in "early next week". That was on the 22nd.

As I said, I think this deal has just been an anomaly. O'Henley is usually reliable, as is McGowan. Everyone "reliable" has been wrong at some point with this deal.

McGowan and O'Henley are both pretty similar in terms of reliability.

Wires crossed somewhere. Then McGlone comes along as well with that tweet...I'd be sceptical if Villa allowed such a release clause to be worked into the contract when he signed from City.

He could easily have hit the ground running there and they'd have made a pittance.
