£3m and it's our fifth bid... * unreal. I'll be expecting this to be rejected, our 6th bid probably be around £3.2m knowing us.

Sorry to burst yer bubble pal but the Pogba deal is far more complicated than paying 3m for a player, there is the argument of who's paying the agent 20m for one and the sheer amount of clauses and fee's to go to certain people is what's delayed the Pogba deal, Man United also are not in Europe this year and have time to get that deal right we are not exactly blessed with time and as said before this is a 3-4m transfer it should be as simple as agreeing a fee with the club its dragged on for about a month its simply shambolic.

    Di Matteo

We’re in a position where we don’t have to sell any player.

There has been rumours about many of our players on the market.

There is some interest in our player [Sinclair].

There might be some changes but at the moment we’re not looking to sell.

what i take from this is...they want much more than he is worth 2.5....maybe looking close to 4.5-5 million to get make them sell.
Time for celtic to forget this deal.

He might of been great once under Rodgers but he has done nothing to merit a pricetag of close to 5m IMO, and if that's what they want then we should walk away and look elsewhere immediately.

The difference is, Pogba is one of the biggest names in world football and will perhaps command the biggest transfer fee in world football if the deal goes through. With guys like Pogba and previous transfers of this size like Bale and Ronaldo they have to deal with the player's image rights and sponsorship and the like.

The difference is, this is Scott Sinclair, not Paul Pogba. We are dealing in a few million pounds than 100 million. We do not have to go through the same strenuous processes to acquire a guy like Sinclair than Man Utd do Pogba.

We were first linked with Sinclair at the end of May...it is now August. Di Matteo has just come out and said they don't need to sell any player and they're not looking to sell Sinclair, which is basically a message to say that we need to significantly up our bid in order for them to consider accepting. He's not worth that. It's time we moved on.

And lets not forget the wages....he will be close to 20k a week i would guess.
Villa knows he is BR main target and they know manager is new in the door and will have funds....if we have in fact met their hinted value a few times and they keep moving the goal posts they are trying to screw us imo.

I just hope we are working on other deals while this circus is going on.

if its true we have bid what they hinted would be accepted then changed their minds and gone higher its not the clubs fault if there hase been a few bids.

Villa are playing games....and i think someone said there is a ex sheep ceo or chairman working for villa now....explains the extra cuntyness around this whole carry on.

There is so much speculation on here as to why we haven't signed him yet what happens if its just villa don't want to sell in the grand scheme of things 3 or 4 million will be nothing to them
