If anyone is going to take Armstrong under their wing and turn him into a properly great CM for us, Broony will be the man to do that. Could hardly ask for a better mentor.

He terrorised them, bullying, sniggering and generally revelling in noising them up..
I can remember hutton and smith both hoofing the ball just because broony was in the vicinity. Black was destroyed and that last minute on him just proved his superiority. Even Nicky Clarks face a minute later when broony was talking to him just after:56:

Some of us thought he'd destroy them but I must admit, he went well past what I expected :56:

Him and Gordon have been our most consistent players this season.

He really has matured into a top club captain. A great role model for any player that comes in, such as Armstrong.

How many apps has made for us now? considering the lengths of times he's been injured, I'm sure he's got an impressive amount of appearances for Celtic.

306 sounds more like it. Like i said quite impressive considering his injuries... Still got plenty left in him too.

He acts the clown and * about but get him on that pitch and he is all * business.
Rate him very highly and think we are very lucky he loves our club and wants to stay.
Aye his passing can be a bit hit and miss but what player does not have a little weakness in their game.
Also don't think this will be the last contract extension he will sign.

I'd like to see him get the 10 but my one concern would be once his legs go...I don't think he has the technical ability to make up for it.

It's not a criticism at all, but, his game relies alot on his energy and ability to get about the pitch, as we all know.

Yes, I also acknowledge that he isn't as bad technically as is made out. You know what I mean though.

    edit:

He also loves a 'cheeky' wee beer

Aye that's a fair point. Unlike commons, Brooney will rely a lot on fitness, energy and strength, which will all deteriorate in the mid-late 30s.

Aye, think Brown will be done in 3/4 year - by the age of 33/34. As his game involves more running and pressuring in the defensive midfield role - similar to Gattuso rather than a more limited sitting role like Lennon, Makelele or Busquets who can sit and intercept play and move it on even when they are over the hill.

His games a lot more contained than it's always been, he picks and chooses his moments to close down.

I'm not concerened about him losing his energy and physical attributes, he's grown as a player year by year and his physical atteibutes are nowhere near what they were when he first signed.

Imperative that we have guys like this at the club. This is what made Manchester United great for all those years. A new player would come in and see guys like Phil Neville or Nicky * - never the most talented players - but nobody will have trained harder than those two. They set a certain standard for Manchester United players, and that's what Brown does here.

Excellent attitude, great trainer, great ambassador and a great example of what a Celtic player should live/train like.

Agreed. I reckon he'll be fine. Roy Keane was an all-action performer like Brown until age and injuries eventually forced him to adapt his game. By that point, he was far better in his reading of the game so it didn't matter all that much.

Brown is in his peak right now, but he has been adapting his game more and more over the last few years. He is more careful, calm and considered in both his passing and his pressing.

He'll be a Celtic player for years to come.
