    The thing is mate, I agree with what you're saying. If we lose on Wednesday there will be questions asked and plenty of critisism going about, however I fail to see why any of it should be related to the Allan signing.

    I don't believe there are an abundance of strikers who are:
    1) in our price range
    2) interested in playing in scotland with no guarantee of playing CL football
    3) capable of improving on what we have already and performing in the highest level of CL football.

    It's a big, big ask and I would imagine it takes a lot of time to get that deal done.

    I would have thought that we are always working all the angles possible, transfer wise. I don't think signing Allan has somehow put off other more important searches for players. It's like, 'here we have a good player, in a position that needs more quality, for buttons, might as well get it done...'. That's my reading of it, everything else is peripheral to that main point. He will be a great signing, I think. :50:

    Am delighted with this signing. Good homegrown player who's only 24 and only going to better. And for absolute pennies.

    Just a great bonus we took him of the Huns buts that's secondary.
