Don't forget as well, although an uncomfortable position, he certainly didn't have to sign for us. Wait a few months and he could have got his dream move for free:86:

Not sure this is a great idea.

He'll no doubt be full of beans thinking that he'll be able to force himself into the first team as a regular, but I don't think he's good enough. Occasional bench and the odd first-team appearance when we're down to the bare bones, or in nothing matches.

So how will he react to going from being the big talking point of this transfer window (for all the wrong reasons) to being a second team player?

Hope I'm wrong (I frequently am) and he is better than I think!

Sure, it's a bit of a giggle, but realistically he'd have been better off staying at Hibs, playing first team fitba with them in an important season, and then signing a pre-contract with Rangers. At least he would have got a regular game with Rangers in what will likely be their maiden SPL season.

I genuinely don't think this kid is good enough to gain a first team spot.

Yes, but i seen his 'highlight reel' which apparently covered his whole season....and my point is, if that is the sum total of his highlights for a whole season, coupled with the whole match i watched him in, then yes, i think he is *.

He should burn all bridges with the huns from the start. By mentioning us as the biggest club in Scotland, best manager and stadium in Scotland etc stuff huns would never admit.

The scum will try and play this down as much as possible now that he's coming to us, but any of them that try and play it off and tell you they aren't bothered are bullshitting... there was a thread on RM with over 5000 posts prior to the announcement that we had made a bid :smiley-laughing002:

Couldn't help doing a bit of snooping on enemy territory in an instance such as this, but they were obsessed with the idea of signing Allan.

Lets make one thing extemely * clear here. If this boy wasnt a blue nose we'd still be questioning the sense of this transfer.

Signing a player who has literally no hope of displacing our current midfielders is one thing. But carting off our current home prospects ( and apparently stokes, who could fetch us 1 to 1.5) in return for the "star" of one of the weakest second tiers in europe just doesnt scan.

Not to mention all this " he's young and will develop into a quality player" *. He's the same age as virgil and johansen ffs. He'll develop from his level of a great 2nd tier player to an average 1st tier player.

This transfer is so underwhelming it borders on laziness from the board.

The fact that he's a newco lover only highlights the fact that we are chasing a * newco target.

If he pulls on the hoops ok. He has my backing, but not my confidence. He's simply not good enough to make an impact for us.

This is 7 -10k in wages that could be used on a new striker, or a winger, or a new * left back.

Im completely baffled by this move.

Daddybear is really close with the figures Tbag but chuck in the equation that of all 3 bids none were upfront payments as they were to be paid in instalments with the final bid being based on Rangers getting to SPL they'd pay the final 100k and not before this - I see King the hero is really putting his money where his mouth is :bbpd:

To be fair, most of those posts include the words 'sevco', 'zombie' and '* *'.

Before we signed Paul Hartley, Rangers had an offer turned down for him. On signing for Celtic he was asked if he ever considered signing for Rangers. His answer was yes, to get out of the situation he was in at Hearts. This is the man that was once asked 'If you were a seagull, which team would you * on?'. His response was Rangers.

Perhaps Allan is doing the same thing?

Broony will soon have the 'hun' out of his system.

Reading posts that suggest we're signing this guy as a replacement for Bitton and Johansen fairly killed my morning wood. What a depressing thought that is.

I also agree with LectersLuncheon. Signing a left back and a good striker should be much higher on our list of priorities than signing a Championship player who wants to be at Ibrox.

    Hate this signing.

Bitton and Johansen are going nowhere, so we don't need to worry about Allan 'replacing' them.

Surprised at this signing tbh, doesnt seem to fit our style of play if he plays in the Brown,Bitton position.Should have signed John McGinn before he went to Hibs for a nominal fee.

It's been infuriating for Henderson. He does very well at Rosenborg, a team miles above even Aberdeen, as is rewarded with one year in the Championship playing against plumbers and ruining his ability. He is a much better player than Scott Allan. Actually i think Dylan also is. We just gifted Hibs two good player in exchange of a spoiled diva who has failed at League One. Loan him back to st. mirren, this is his level of football
