For the amount of cash we have spunked on * nobodies I don't see how for 250k you can grumble at this.

It's clear he has talent and potential so with the facilities and training on offer at Celtic with Ronny and Co, if he knuckles down he could turn out to be more than a decent player for us.

If we gave Hibs Henderson, McGeough and Stokes and and with the team they already have they'd win the league. Stokes would rape that league.

Aye I agree mate. Not exactly a world beater but for the money how can we complain. Hibs get a good deal, we get a good deal and the Huns get * awl. Perfect

I'm looking forward to his first interview. :smiley-laughing002:

"Always supported Celtic since I was a boy"

In all seriousness, no idea what he'll come out with. Probably that he's delighted to sign for such a big club playing in Europe etc.

Not so exciting to be fair. Carry on lads.

It's difficult for us to sign proven strikers as you well know. Dwight Gayle is going for £8m to Bristol City ffs.

Boyata is a 'CL signing' in my opinion, and the window isn't shut yet. We need a winger imo.

Regardless of that, we're not '* about' signing players from the Championship. We're signing a guy on the cheap who Ronny must clearly like the look of. There's * all wrong with the signing. You're just * off because it will annoy the Huns and you don't like the Huns being mentioned whatsoever in relation to us, which is fair enough.

Take a step back though, and realise that this guy has a bit about him and is costing £275k.

If we gave them Stokes then yes, I agree. However, I'm one of those who want to keep Stokes and still think he's good enough to play for us. They had McGeough last season and it didn't make a huge difference to their promotion bid, albeit he was good for them. They've lost their best player in Allan but gained Henderson for a year loan, who I'm sure will do really well and be a standout. The Stokes one won't actually happen so I just can't see them doing it this season. Think I've just learned to have no faith in hibs at all :smiley-laughing002:

Which is the main reason this transfer is being discussed as much as it is on here if we're honest.

I'll tell you what, for a group of Celtic fans who claim so strongly to not give a * about the Huns it's mental that a transfer thread about a guy who hasn't even signed for us yet is almost 80 pages long already.

Couple that with the ever-popular Sevco thread and I tend to think that despite "Rangers" being dead, the rivalry lives on stronger than ever! :smiley-laughing002:

Exactly. It's well known that Ronny likes the best Scottish talent on offer and Allan fits the bill. Some of us on here have been saying Allan is a very good player, long before the huns were bidding. He's cheap, young enough and Ronny must feel he can improve him and Allan can improve us, he has a real eye for a pass that we don't have many of in the attacking positions, consistently enough..

I still feel it's a scummy move on his part though, he's a hun that's been dying for a move to them and whoring himself, unprofessionally, to them all summer but because of hibs stance he's done the unthinkable. If it was the other way around, i'd be raging. Don't get me wrong, they will be sick about this, they've been raving about a player signed on a free after being released by Bradford, and how much of a bluenose he is, when the boy is pish. Allan would comfortably have been the best player they've signed in 3 years of history. He's a better player than McGeough by the way..

This thread is longer than some of our current players threads. Hendo and Armstrong at first glance.

And I've just added to it with that :smiley-laughing002:

If this is a closed deal, whatever he say's, he'll be slated..

The truth is, hibs refused to deal with a head to head rival, but if they did, he'd have gone to them in a heartbeat..

Absolutely. They were his ideal destination. We're second choice in this case unfortunately.

So the Zombies made three bids for him.

    Anyone know much they offered?

Am sure a read one of the bids was 100k up front and the rest in instalments :smiley-laughing002:
