I know that and so do you mate, but the boy is hun, he wants to sign for them and has actively tried to push through for a move to them - sometimes heart rules head and I would NOT blame the * if he knocked us back to sign for them, which he WILL in January if he does not come to us.

Would YOU sign for Sevco if the shoe was on the other foot? Seriously.

To be fair Pad, Mo Johnstone signed for them when we were skint and they had a better team and more money.

Kind of the same. Obviously we say we wouldn't but its apparent many guys would.

No I wouldn't, but we are assuming Allan is a died in the wool sevco fan/supporter. If he was, I don't think all of this would have gotten as far as it has.

I know mate, I'm not saying Allan would not sign for us because of that, but since he's already declared his desire to join them, one would think that thought still in his head, eh?

In all honesty I'm not sure what I would do, considering I'm not in the position to know lol.

I genuinely believe I would knock back Sevco but if I was to be in the situation * knows what might happen.

I would go to England's lower leagues before I signed for them.

If I didn't play to my full potential when my career was over, but still did a great deal, I wouldn't care - I have my principles.

Thats true. The main thing you want is happiness so wherever you would feel happy would be more important than money. Like the way larsson talks about his time at celtic after feyenoord

People tend to think with their heart when it is a hypothetical situation; when it is an actual decision to be made people think with their head.

If I was a professional and a good deal was put in front of my by Rangers I wouldn't think twice. You turn up do your job and get paid. It's that simple; to footballers it is a job just the same as you're current job is just a job to you or I

Another Dundee united player, just need guald, Robertson and Souttar to complete the set.

I am happy with this signing, he is a good player and will develop more here. It will be exciting to see

On Sky Sports. Thought we may be getting done by the lad, and he'd hang on for the blue side but seemingly concrete assurances made by agent that player was really up for this before it started moving.

Sometime you need the money to survive and sacrifice your principles

I can't see how he can be this staunch hun people are talking about. The guy was with Dundee Utd from the age of 10. That means a * of a lot of training, games on a Saturday etc so he wouldn't have experinced being a fan like we have. Yes, at 5 or 6 years old he would have loved Gazza and played in the street/park with his mates in a hun top. But this would all have waned as he grew up and was focusing on becoming a pro. He is a football player now and this is his career where money talks, and the chance to play for a club with facilities and opportunities like Celtic would be very hard to turn down.

Personally, I would NEVER sign for Sevco, but that's from everything I have built up as a passionate Celtic fan over many years. If my path had been that of most pro's maybe that would be different *shudders at the thought*
