I would start Scott Allan on Wednesday. He deserves it.

He used to be a Hun but he's alright now. Looks a wee bit like Jack that used to be on Eastenders as well.

Agree with this tbf. In terms of overall ability.

He should start on Wednesday. He's comfortable receiving the ball under pressure and has an eye for a forward pass. Crazy to me that Armstrong gets picked ahead of him.

I disagree that Allen should be in before Armstrong. Two different styles. Armstrong suits Rodgers current formation as one of the box to box midfielders. Allen doesnt do this. Allen should replace brown and be the guy who can dictate the tempo and start attacks....just needs to work on his positional awareness we we dont have the ball as needs to protect the back four

What about Armstrong getting picked ahead of Rogic?

Are you at the wind up or just generally got it in for Armstrong? The exact same thing applies with Rogic as was stated about Allan above, he simply doesn't cover enough ground to play in a box to box role. Armstrong has had a good pre-season/start to the season. Long may it continue.

Don't think Armstrongs been that good at all, set pieces have been abysmal, barely a goal threat and one or two many passes have gone astray a game.

There's no way Armstrong should be in MF ahead of Rogic and Allan imo, I also don't buy into this doesn't cover enough ground nonsense. Give them a shot there and see what they can so.

What I do know in Rogic's case especially against Armstrong is he is much more of a goal threat, has got an eye for a pass as well and his first touch and skill is exceptional in comparison, his range of passing and close control again are much better than Armstrongs.

Anyone who wants Armstrong ahead of Rogic in MF is off their rocker imo.

It's not that radical of an opinion. Can see the argument for both to be in the team but if you're talking at CM is say Stuart is more suited but CAM Rogic is better going forward as you say.

As usual Wanyama shows he doesn't understand the first thing about tactics or positional balance. Just player A is better than player b end of story, formations are overrated.

    No!

Wednesday will not be ideal for playing possession-based slick fitba on the deck.

The pitch will be shocking, the humidity will be unbearable.

On the return leg on the big open

Wasn't impressed with Armstrong at all yesterday, thought Brown showed glimpses of his former self though. Couple of missed placed passes but a couple of cracking balls as well. McGregor is still first name on the teamsheet for me at the moment. Allan always looks good when he's on but doesn't seem like he's gonna play a major part in Rodgers plans so it will be interesting to see how we line up wednesday.

think this will be browns last season in first team.

We lack creativity and Allan is a creative player, he should be getting more game time. Bitton strolls around and behaves like he couldn't give a * wth his face tripping him...starting to really * me off.

Have a feeling he'll be getting phased out too. Can only be a good thing. We'll miss the Scott brown of old, the tenacity and leader. He's not got the tenacity these days.
