It's not even just that he plays them on the left, it's that hes so rigid with it that they NEED to stay there. He could let Roberts, Allan and Christie roam around not tied to any position or side when we are on the ball and then have a set position to fall back into when defending but he has us play were the two wide men need to stand in the wider positions which isolates everyone.

We could even play more lopsided too like Barcelona although Barcelona claim to play 4-3-3 like

    X
    X-- X-- X-- X
    X
    X--X
    X ----X---- X

    It's more like

    X
    X-- X-- X-- X
    X
    X-X-X
    --------X----- X

Where Neymar usually stays wide but Messi just floats about wherever and is really never on the right. We could do that where Roberts stays wide but we don't need a guy playing on the left.

Aye, it's not ideal having guy's like Allan on the left but if he had licence not to hug the left and coast in centrally to spray passes with more freedom, comfortably on his right foot, we'd be better off. Same for Christie who's best bit of play came from drifting left, he never did it again all game untill Rogic came on..

An interchangeable system with flexible player's shoulda been the way forward for Ronny but his stubbornness and naivety to move away from the rigidity he's set us up to play with, was no more evident than our last 135 minute's..

He himself said he was comfortable in any of the 3 positions behind the striker, his own words not mine, and plenty of people do have a hardon about him the way they bang on about him, he is * average and now looks as if he is going through the motions when he is given a chance, i would argue Rogic has grasped his chance when given it and become one of the players that looks a real threat going forward

How can anyone * slate the guy when its his first start in like 3 * month we gonna start judging players on one start and 6 sub appearences in last 3 month? He was average tonight but not every player sets world on fire if given game time in his natural position Allan would be a good player he can pick a pass and keeps the ball moving well.

Ronny himself even admitted he saw talent in the guy just didn't think he was suited to his style. Hopefully under the new manager he'll give chances, then again I wouldn't want it to be at the expense of Rogic, we have to wind ways of fitting them both into the team if Allan does indeed show he's worthy of a starting position.

Too old to be a project. If there is no regular place for him on the team or the bench he needs to go. For me he can go along with Armstrong, GMS and Forrest.

Fair play to him that he hasn't played much at all, but generally wasn't impressed of excited by him last night. Christie showed more potential and ability.
He won't be missed if a new manager decides he isnt good enough. But then again I'm sure there is a good spl player in there, so who knows what a new manager may get out of him.

Another player overrated by fans based on very little evidence.

True, he has this cult status with fans and the media despite not actually proving anything at a decent level.

Deserves a chance I'd say. In correct position. If he's not deemed good enough by new manager so be it.

Would help if he got more game time and slating him as he's out of position just proves you don't have a clue what your on about. Also Collins stated they bought him and he doesn't fit in the clubs 'system'. More evedince of the clowning recruitment from Lawwell and park at the club. Maybe if we done away with this recruitment strategy and bought the right players for the required amount then half the time we wouldn't be falling short in champion leagues and league games as well as getting beat by championship teams eh

To be fair wide left in a 4-2-3-1 is a lot different to being on the wing. Look at players like Gotze, Iniesta, Silva, Mata, etc they can play out wide and come inside to influence the game. Allan himself says he doesn't mind where he plays in an attacking midfield three. So if he was as great as we hope he is then I don't see why he shouldn't be able to showcase his talents from a left attacking midfield role, I don't think that should be an excuse.

I think perhaps the system not being suited to him is more of an argument, so in that regard he really was a pointless signing, however as I said already in depends what the next manager wants to do because he might fit into his plans.

Could still have a role to play with us, but it all depends on who the new manager is and what formation he will primarily adopt. We have Rogic, Commons, Chrsitie, Johansen, Armstrong and Allan all who want to play centre attacking midfield. Personally i would loan out christie, sell Johansen and have Armstrong playing more centre midfield. Leaving Allan, Commons and Rogic as the number 10's.

Dont think hes good enough for us going forward. Pointless signing in hindsight.

To be even more fairer, that's not the way we really play it.
