He's got to be worth a start in that left sided role at the very least. No one has shone there & with injuries on top of that he deserves a start. In the small amount of time he gets he always shows something, an incisive pass to create a chance usually which is more than Armstrong, GMS & even Commons of late have done.

Doubt we will see much changing though, we probably only played 4-4-2 today with Cole because the pitch was dreadful and made it difficult to play passing or running with the ball so Cole gave us the option of launching it forward but pitched dont really get near that bad in the SPL.

I think our best team/set-up might be

    Gordon
    Janko Lustig Boyata Tierney
    Brown
    Bitton Allan Johansen
    Forrest
    Griffiths

Thats what i'd want to see with everyone fit, Janko and Tierney with pace down the wings, midfield playing narrow and Forrest with a free role to roam anywhere so could switch wings or stay in the middle. Bitton and Johansen would drop back into the wide areas to defend.

I think that set up best suits all our players too as the others:

    Mulgrew
    Armstrong Rogic McGregor
    Commons
    Cole

Could play the exact same way. Also easy to change to 2 up front and doesnt cause any switching about of the midfield.

His vision is insanely good unless he's asked to play the ball quickly from a corner with opposition players bearing down on him, or unless he's being asked to square the simple ball for one of our strikers to score a goal?

I get that as a fanbase we're looking for anything positive to grab onto, but there's far too much being made of this guy and his ability when he's really shown * all yet if we're honest.

Agree to a certain extent, a few are guilty of hyperbole regarding his performances. However, he hasn't had a run of games to fairly judge that.

He has shown that he can see passes that few in our squad would though - v Ajax for Griffiths 1-on-1 and yesterday - and in my opinion has done enough to warrant a start ahead of some of those being picked at the moment.

Aye, he's definitely due a run of games, that's true. I just don't think he's quite as good (or brilliant, as some refer to him) as some think.

Agree with that team I would have callum Mcgregor in instead of Forrest though.

Agreed, way too early to judge that yet. Some promising signs though.

Don't get me wrong, I'd love if he came on a storm and was a real class player for us. I'm just sceptical at the moment considering the lack of game time he's had, and his track record in the game thus far.

I'm more excited about Ryan Christie if I'm honest.

He's no doubt pushing very close to getting in the team but if he can't get in just now I can't see it getting easier for him with Christie coming in, Armstrong & Brown getting fit again.
Agree with Daibhi, can't wait to see what Christie can do though it will probably take a while for him to fully recover and settle in here so probably wont see the best from him until start of next season.

    Agreed.
Not a bad player, but a waste of money for us and adds little to our team - be it he hasnt had much game time at all.

I fear the current Michael ohalloran situation may turn out the same.

We get linked first, then sevco make a few laughable offers. We go back in 'flexing' our financial power over Scottish football(dont laugh) and sign another striker not good enough to take us forward.

O'Halloran is an average winger. And he cost * all Allan, he's shown some good stuff so far maybe not enough to earn him a place but enough to show he isn't a 'waste of money' he clearly has good qualities.

I rate him above Armstrong, Christie and McGregor.

He has an eye for a pass that no-one else in the squad, barring perhaps Rogic, has IMO. Desperate to see the guy get game time, it's clear he wants to prove his worth.

Anytime he comes on, whether it's a 10 minute cameo or half an hour, he creates a chance. It's crazy.

Makes an impact everytime. I genuinely think he's class. When all are fit, and on song, that 10 spot is gonna be exciting to see who is grabbing it..

As others have said , he manages to find two or three killer passes every time he has a ten minute cameo. Extremely economical with his use of the ball , as i have said before , if he played regularly he would become the main assister at the club .
