There isn't really much need to drop Rogic though and I'm not sure Allan can play in many other positions.

Both could play in a midfield 3 with a DM behind them.

    In Scotland at least.

Aye that Partick game was crying out for him to be brought on. Another thing that bugs me about Ronnie is not playing the right players from the start or more commonly not using subs properly.

Anyone heard anything about him playing in the under 21 game against Accies and being stroppy as *?

If hes in the 21's he probably just needs to get his fitness up a little.
Think he should be given a chance soon. Should be ahead of armstrong and johanson at the moment as they 2 have done next to * all in weeks

According to someone I know who works with Accies he was moaning like * all game, constantly throwing his arms up and storming off when he didn't get the ball, even if he wasn't in the best position to receive it, niggling at his teammates if they misplaced a pass, and generally had an air about him that he was too good to be there.

Basically the exact opposite of Mackay-Steven who apparently put in a terrific shift.

Doesn't seem like him from what we've seen so far tbh. Who knows though, might be getting frustrated.

    Aw jesus that was terrible.

Didn't he have a reputation of being a bit of a Billy Big Baws when he was at Hibs? Or is that someone else I'm thinking about?

Not heard anything about that and I'd be very surprised if it's true.

Mind you, while it would be out of order if it's true, no wonder he's frustrated. Complete joke that he's barely getting any game time.

That's the thing, there may be a reason why Deila isn't playing him. I mean, if he's so * good then you'd assume he'd be playing, right?

Maybe, like Stokes, his attitude in training hasn't been up to par.

    Could be the case.

Mind you, he's been on the bench constantly which is more than can be said for Stokes. It's a mystery.

    * knows. The source of my info is actually a Celtic fan, and seemed quite disappointed in Allan's behaviour.

There's definitely something going on there.

Tbh none of us know his character yet, he's came across well in interviews but they can be coached.

Wee brother was at the game. Sounded more like someone trying to lead a young side than someone with an attitude problem.

He did say he was moaning at the linesman constantly and you could hear every word he was saying. Standard for these types of games with handfuls of people in the stands.

Well, judging from what I've been told he's certainly not captain material.

There's a difference between leading a young side and coming across as a moaner who was making it clear that he didn't want to be there according to someone with Accies who saw him on the park and behind the scenes that day.

There's a bit of me that's glad he's unhappy about being stuck in a developmental game. I just hope he reacts in the correct manner and doesn't take the huff.

True. In a way shows he's not happy to pick up a wage doing nothing. Has to channel that frustration in a better way by the sounds of it.

For whatever reason, I just don't see him making a sustained impact here.

Frustrating as I'd like to see what he can do.

Just goes to show how two people can interpret situations differently.

The thing that's always niggled at me is that he's not a kid, and if he is as talented as some seem to think he is, then why hasn't he made a real impact before now?

He's 24 years old and Celtic are his ninth club. Before he made a bit of an impact in the Scottish Championship with Hibs he's been bouncing around the lower leagues in England without much success.

If he's not short on talent there has to be another reason why he's not hit the heights in the previous five years.

Yeah, and I'm not wanting to sound like a * here (and you can read into it what you will, as we all do in these situations) but the guy I know is an actual coach who was on the touchline, and who saw Allan in the stadium beforehand.

He's simply offering a little bit of insight into what he saw and experienced.

If he was a Hun or suchlike I wouldn't have read much into it, but he's an older Celtic fan who isn't known (by me, anyway) for bullshitting.

Still, he did say to me that it could have simply been a case of Allan having a bad day or whatever, so hopefully it amounts to nothing.
