    Scott Allan isn'tv any better than what we've got in our team and that's including some players who can't even get a game !

    I don't know. Johansen's a pretty special player. He's similar to Armstrong though, in that he can play anywhere in the midfield. He could be a valuable player for us. I don't think we're overloaded in the midfield (unless you include players like McGeouch, McGregor, Boerrigter and Rogić).

    I suspect Mulgrew might be moved back to defence this season if van Dijk leaves, so Allan could play in the bank of two, with a new signing or Boerrigter or that playing in the three.

    Allans not got the ability to play the deeper role I dont think, not got the legs for it or the brains Brown, Bitton, Mulgrew, Johansen,Armstrong and Henderson would all be ahead of him there.

    Onyl place he could play would be behind the striker but again he'd have Johansen, Commons and Armstrong ahead of him.

    He'd be a waste of £ for us I think, possibly £500k a £6k a week for a 4th/5th/6th choice player whod probably never get a game and just sit collecting wages for 2/3 year going out on loan.

    You have to count them they're our players :56:

    You can't say that we aren't overloaded then discount four players and call nine others your 1st and 2nd string. That's 13 midfielders for 5 starting spots!

    I really like Allan, think he's a good player and still has some potential. But unfortunately we can't sign everyone. And his position is one that does not need strengthened and he is not better than what we have there already.

    Every position needs strengthening . As for not being better than what we have - imo he has the ability and skillset to flourish here - if he works hard he could well force his way into our first team .

    Well yes but what I meant to say was that it is not a priority. CAM is probably the best covered area of the team.

    He may well do, but do you seriously think that he's better than Johansen, Commons and Armstrong? There isn't much evidence for that apart from a few games against the huns who are shocking.

    He can become better than all of those players if he recieves the right coaching as he has technical ability in spades and a good footballing brain . Has most of the attributes you would want in a creative midfielder, including finding killer passes . He would rack up plenty of assists at Celtic.

    Like i said , he will become a top player in the SPL for someone. Hope it's us .

    I am expecting Henderson to be the long term replacement for Biton when he gets flogged . I imagine he would be a natural in that role .

    Not sure about that.

    He'd have to alter his game quite a bit, more of a Scott Brown character than a sitting midfielder, IMO.

    He has a similar feel to him in attitude terms as Wilson has. Don't know what it is but I can't put my finger on it.

    I'd have taken Wilson and I'd take Allan but there is a very strong stench of Hun * off of both of them.
