4-4-2 for me as well
GK - Rab Douglas
DR - Jackie McNamara
DL - Gary Naysmith
DC - Stephen Pressley
DC - David Weir
MR - Darren Fletcher
ML - James McFadden
MC - Barry Ferguson
MC - Nigel Quashie
FC - Derek Riordan
FC - Paul Dickov
Who else we got? Dailly, but he's been out for a while, he'd normally make my line up. Hartley would be in the squad for me. I think our defence is our weakest point. Wouldn't mind if Rab or Gordon played to be honest, just that kebab has more experience. -

i'm going with this comment aswell, we're lucky to have at least 5 decent players in the squad the rest are just making up the numbers
No I don't agree that we're pish. You could at least defend us and be positive.
I'm sure some of you don't bother going to Scotland games if you get the chance or even bother to watch them. I'm a Scotland fan before I'm a Celtic fan. And although I attend a lot more Celtic games, if it came down to seeing Scotland lift the World Cup or Celtic lifting the European Cup, I'd take the World Cup every time.
I'm sure fans of other nations feel exactly the same but too many folk only support and praise Scotland when they do something well (like beat Holland) and then criticise them and refuse to bother with them when we lose (like the defeat to Holland lol!)
I think we've got a positive future ahead of us. We need to remember that so many of the players in the team/verge of making the team are really young and talented.
Riordan, O'Conner, Maloney, Hutton, etc as well as current young promising players already in the set up like Fletcher and McFadden. Barry Feguson has a few years ahead of him too. So be positive and think of how good this side can be in 2-3 years time when these guys will be hitting 25 and 26.
i still dont think looking down the line in 2-3 years time i think its more realistic looking at 10 years these guys might be good in the SPL but they are not good enough and Scotland will be lucky to finsih 2rd in the groups.
They might have got a good result against holland but every team gets a good result now and again.
Can remember looking back at that and thinking they are gonna do it but it was to good to be true and they got pummelled.
If it came down to world cup or european cup i would go for european cup basically because it would get it up the huns :84:
Point 1. be positive about what??....maybe we can beat the faroe islands the next time..
Point 2. I have been asked 3 times today if im on drugs..World Cup??....think they have been asking the wrong person...
Be positive about the future of Scotland and stop putting us down. I think we'll be a lot better than what we are right now in 2-3 years time. We won't win a big trophy for a very long time or even get near it, but if we can make the World Cup or the European Championship Finals (like we came all so close to doing under Vogts!) then I'll be delighted.
I think Smith has got the right people in and has got the right spirit about the players. Hopefully something can happen against Italy. A draw would be a great result. I'm telling you, we'll give Italy a game.
I don't think Scotland will ever win the World Cup, not in my life time anyway, but I'm saying if I could choose between Scotland winning the WC or Celtic winning the EC, I'd want the WC every time.
Is anybody got a positive attitude towards the national team or are we all a bunch of Charlie Nicholases and Englishmen?

The number of Celtic players that have been constantly overlooked for the Scotland team by bigotted hun selectors means I don't give a * about Scotland any more. Club first and always.
It's a joke the number of caps Jinky (23!!!), Lennox (10? Git tae *), Bobby Murdoch (12?) DIDN'T get is appalling. And the list continues...it's never been the best Scottish players, so I don't regard it as the 'Scotland' team - it's the Scotland Huns team as far as I'm concerned.
