:smiley-laughing002: Aye or wherever. Went on a Radio Caley getaway in Oban last week. Heard that chant about 20 times.

School doesn't end at 16 for everyone, nor should it. For some, however...

Really miss my schooldays now. Finishing my third year of uni and just didn't make a connection with my class the way I did in school, I know I'll not be keeping in touch with a single person from uni after the summer. Still, a few months left with complete access to amazing filming equipment, going to take advantage and make a good few documentaries.

Are you in the Facebook picture? Always found people that I know that are involved with Radio Caley to be some proper weirdos, are you a proper weirdo too? :smiley-laughing002:

I'm half way through 4th year and I can honestly say that I have made two proper friends and I have a general dislike for most other people on my course

My course is quite small, only around 40 on it but I talk to 4 or 5 of the boys in the class however only one is really my sense of humour.

It's weird though, not like school. There is one guy who you can blatantly tell has nothing in common with us but is sticking around because all the other 'groups' have been made:56:

I took a year and a bit out to work after leaving school and most of them have came straight from school, eager as *. Which is fine but can do your * in sometimes.

My course is very big in comparison. 193 members of the Facebook group, not sure how many are still in the course. There's loads of different wee groups of friends. My group seems to hate most of the course and can't wait to finish it although I don't know exactly what I'll be doing come September 2015

I'll neither confirm or deny :smiley-laughing002:

Regarding weirdos, some of them are proper weirdo's but most of them are genuinely good people. I wouldn't say I'm one of the proper weirdo's. Maybe semi weird :86:

Mine is also 40 and pretty much all of us get on. :smiley-laughing002:

In fact I'd say there's far less groups and cliques than there was in secondary school when I only hung out with the one group of people (in my year, I did on with a few from the year below).

I know everyone says don't wish your uni days away, just like school but after tasting full time work last year and having a steady wage every month, I miss the cash.

Would love to just have this degree and start getting on with something. In saying that my first year has flew in so far. Still getting over the fact I finish in April until September, will probably look to work full time all summer.

Another thing, most of my friend in Uni(and I've made a lot) have come from extra curricular stuff. It's a good way to make friends. There ya go, some advice for any schoolies.

Bit different in the US, as you hardly share any classes with the same people...I don't mind it, though.

A lot of my mates from school, or that I already hang around with are in my college so haven't really needed to make new mates. Talk to a few people in my course and off the football team alright but I wouldn't really consider them mates.

There's actually a few people in my college who I knew already but didn't really talk to that much before but I'd consider them good mates now aswell.

Wouldn't fancy going to a college where I knew absolutely no one, would be difficult at the start I'd imagine, especially if you're on campus. I spend * all time in college but even if I am waiting around for a class there's always someone around I know.

I find it's easier to make friends when you don't know anyone to begin with.

That's true I suppose in the sense that you're not with people you already know all the time and you're kind of forced to make friends. People who don't do any sports or clubs or anything would struggle though.
