Was thinking of doing something like that but don't think the teachers get paid what they deserve for the * they have to put up with.

I was looking up the pay for teachers over here a few weeks ago, I think they start on something like 27k but it goes up by 2k for every year spent as a full-time teacher up until around 67k. Not that bad considering over here you get 3 months off for summer where you could easily have something else, Week off in October, 2 for Christmas, one in February, and then 2 for Easter.

Yeah that's not bad but the days are so long that you probably need that time off to get over it. The couple of guys I know teaching are uo at about 5 and don't stop working til about ten at night marking and planning lessons. Sounds too much.

Weekends off as well. Easy money!

Nah, I know a few teachers, it's a lot of work, and new teachers always find it hard work, but when you've done it a few years, you settle in to a routine, you know your course/class and you get by. Extra money in marking papers for final exams as well (though really tough/long work).

Good gig if you can get in to it.

    He asked! I answered lol.

I have been through 4 years of undergrad, been through another year of a masters.

I know of the boredom but if you want to get into a professional profession then you need a degree by and large.

Even finishing Uni i have 3 years of exams to go through with work, its * *! But at least i get paid for it.

It's all fine and well hating uni until you get a proper job and realise that you've essentially been doing nothing for the last 4 years.

    I miss it.

    I'm not being patronising :smiley-laughing002:

I genuinely miss going to a few lectures in the morning, maybe doing a bit of reading and then getting to go home. First and second year were brilliant like that. Third and fourth were a bit more stressful but I'd still rather be doing that than what I'm doing now.

I concur, i miss being able to get up at 11am almost every day rather than 7am!

Cherish your uni days because its all * downhill from there!

Up at 7am don't get home until 6.30, bed by half 11 and the cycle continues till the weekend where if im not studying then im getting smashed and taking the next day to recover!

Because I travel to Glasgow from Edinburgh for my classes I have to wake up pretty early to get through in time.

Quite a bad thing not only because I * hate not getting a lie in as everyone does, but because half the time I wake up and think why the * am I going through for a * hour long lecture when all these notes are online anyway. Just seriously does not motivate me to head through, I have missed so many lectures so far. First few weeks it was fine, wanted to go through, settle in etc, but now I am becoming a lazy * again just like at school:56:

Such a change from working full time like last year, most folk in my class have came straight from school and are cocky wee * (even though they are only 2 years younger than me:56:)
